10 years on the road with my wife, living out of two Osprey Farpoint 40L carry-ons. One each. This year, after a decade of wear and tear, we replaced them, with the exact same backpacks. That probably says everything. Traveling this way teaches you a simple rule: if something new comes in, something

Check out Osprey farpoint/fairview 40L. It’s a travel backpack so it also has a clamshell opening that’s easy to get stuff in/out of like a suitcase. The backpack straps are actually really comfortable so you can walk with your pack fully loaded for longer distances, up stairs, etc. It’s very resili

I use an osprey farpoint 55 for everything at this point. Should work for what you’re doing. Kind of the Toyota Camry of backpacks, nothing fancy but does 95% of what you need and won’t die

Not quite what you asked, but I travel a fair bit mostly around European cities and switched from a roller carry on to a backpack and couldn’t be happier. Even the smoothest wheels are loud on cobbled roads and footpaths. My main backpack is the Osprey Farpoint and it’s holding up spectacularly well

I have the Osprey stuff pack/ sack (I think that’s what it’s called). But recently purchased the Osprey Farpoint 55 which is a 40L main pack (with great design and fitment) with an additional 15L daypack which is amazing re fitment, adjustability, and design. It attaches to the rear of the main 40L

old thread, but i removed my wire from my farpoint 55 for the exact same reasons and have flown all over the globe with it. i liked the bag so much better too, and i cant even tell you if it impacted the weight/carry functionality at all because it was never an issue. the hip strap still worked grea

Osprey is always a solid choice! It's my go-to brand for every bag I buy and use. For anything from traveling to hiking to backpacking. I travel with a Kestral 38, it's not a dedicated "carry-on" bag but have never had issues with it with any airline. 100s of flight 30+ different countries. And the

Haven’t used Salkan but I absolutely love my Osprey! I’ve had my Farpoint since 2014 and it’s still holding up great.

I have been happily using an Osprey Farpoint 40L for 10+ years now. Still in great shape plus Osprey has an amazing lifetime guarantee. It also seems to be on sale now. I like it's simplicity (simply clamshell design with a second main pocket for laptop and other things plus a small upper pocket for

I’ve had the same kuiu pack for probably 8 years now, and it still looks great. I wear it hiking, as well as dirt biking and have been thrown off the bike onto the pack. Hardly any stitching coming undone even after those falls at speed. You’d probably want bigger if you’re shopping in the 55l range
