if you want the most budget one just get the quechua one. quechua isnt a top brand but for its price its considered pretty good quality compared to others in the similar price range if you want something that lasts forever get an osprey daylite plus 20L

Osprey Daylite 26+6 Front Loops

Officially, they are part of Osprey's attachment system where you can attach other backpacks (like the Daylite or the Daylite Plus) using their buckles. I've done this on occasion and it works great, though the back does extend out a bit so you have to be careful in crowded places.

A bag inside a bag

I use the Osprey Daylite Plus as a daypack for the Osprey Farpoint 40. Super thin and only 600g when empty but carries very well. External pouch and straps let's you mount additional stuff like swimming gear.

Bag to Carry

If you have issues with the spine you definitely don't want a single strap/sling type shoulder bag. You might look at getting a good lumbar* pack, Mountainsmith, or if that's too much $$$ to spend grab yourself and Osprey Daylite Plus I have spoken A lumbar is a fanny pack on steroids.

Osprey vs Aer

AER is a lifestyle backpack. Urban, trendy etc. some nice looking materials and aesthetically pleasing organisation. Osprey is a utilitarian bag you buy for a purpose, that’s not the prettiest or feel the nicest but it will be a comfortable backpack for a decade if you want. If you honestly don’t ca

What's on your gencon checklist?

I do an Osprey Daylite Plus. Light bag, has straps to prevent shoulder fatigue. Normally a water bottle, a couple of snacks, phone charger, medications. I have a badge holder for my badge, wallet, and tickets. That's about it. EDIT: Also a foldable reusable shopping bag.

Best features of your backpack

I really appreciate a front dump pocket like on the Osprey Daylite Plus, Osprey Nebula 32L, or the Aer Go Pack 2. It's a must for me now even though many packs don't have one. I think those pockets are my number 1 favorite feature of a backpack. Also, I need 2 good-sized water bottle pockets. And a

Commuter backpack

Perhaps the Osprey Daylite Plus? You can stow rain pants on the outside. However, it will be a tight fit for a 15" laptop

Survival/Essential bag

I suggest browsing bags and making a list of features and details that are important to you. I am a bit of a bag and backpack nerd and have various shapes and sizes of bag/pack for various uses and conditions. Each one fulfills a very specific purpose. But I’ve also spent as long as six months searc
