Is the Osprey Aura AG LT 65 good?
i've been using osprey for like 3 years now and they're solid, don't let tiktok people get in your head lol. the AG LT series is actually pretty decent for what you're doing - bronze dofe isn't gonna push the pack too hard anyway the accessibility thing is real though, LT models definitely sacrifice

Bag ulit, sorry
Atmos AG 50 is better. That extra 4k+ is for the tech, you'd be amazed pag nacompare mo vs non-AG. Ask for stock or if you can custom order (legit distributor only, which is rox). I'd go for stratos if I'm shaving extra Ls, like hosted meal trips or country backpacking, stratos 36L would suffice. If

Gregory Maven 58 - In between?
It does help thank you! I was surprised to read about the Maven's sliding straps, that would be a serious problem and I'm curious to know if anyone else has encountered this. How could it not be picked up in their own testing, maybe it was a faulty pack. It speaks to the importance of properly testi

LEJOG Trip
Ospreys are very good quality, and in my experience. They also have a lifetime warranty. One of my packs had a broken pocket zip after 10 years, they fixed it under warranty. I own the Osprey Atmos AG 65 - it’s a very comfortable pack when carrying high weight but it is a roughly 2kg pack. Lighter w

Need a backpack for a camping and hiking trip
For backpacks, I was in a similar spot last summer when I did a week in the Smokies. I’d say definitely look for something in the 50-65L range for that length of trip if you need space for your own stuff plus a share of group gear. Osprey and Gregory are both solid brands for comfort and durability

Backpack for small guy
Im also a small guy, 5'4" 125 lbs. I just picked up a standard Ozark trail daypack from walmart and that works fine for day hikes. For my actual backpacking pack I used the Osprey atmos ag 65l and I haven't had any issues with that, just had to get it sized at an rei.

How much should it cost to build an entry level backpacking set up?
Thank you! So, yesterday I went to manhattan beach Re/Supply REI and bought some really cool stuff like a tent from 340$ to 150$ (because of a 1cm hole) and a sleeping quilt from 299$ to 120$ (overstock) Also got an Osprey Atmos AG 65 from 370$ to 300$ (still a lot of money but I loved it, by far th

Tent recommendations
Use what works, Osprey. The Exos 58 is absolutely what I'd use if I went again. I used the Atmos AG 65 which was a wonderful pack, but it is on the heavy side. When I got done, I sent it to Osprey and got a brand new one for free, which was great because it was very much at the end of its life after

General question
I am from the Midwest too! Never backpacked until 2017 and feel in love with it in Alabama. I have also done some AT, Pinhoti, Yellowstone, Teton, Bob Marshall. When I first started I had the Chinese special for most things except tent and sleeping pad. Most Chinese special is fine for one or 2 nigh

Are any other Backpacks as comfortable as the Osprey AG system?
With a long torso for a female (20” is very long — you are also tall so it’s not absurd for this to be true, but just want to confirm you’re measuring with help from someone else, and from the top of the iliac crest to the c7 vertebrae), I think it’s 50/50 whether you’ll like the Aura. You might pre
