Hello deciding

I would personally splurge for the MK4S, the speed and quality is unmatched, and the MK4S is still phenomenal. Also, you have the option to upgrade it to a Core one later down the line. Rather than a mini for $700, you can get the MK4S kit with free shipping for $800 https://www.printedsolid.com/pro

Is there future of the Original Prusa MK4/S Enclosure a dead end?

You can sell it, there is probably some customer base with mk3 and mk4 that may consider it for right price. I believe for various reasons enclosure for mk4 was really dead end. The Biggest issue is to volume you have to heat up, location of the printed part on the bottom due to printer construction

Used MK4

Upgrade kits are very well documented, and prusa 24/7 support is very helpful for when things go wrong. I like prusa's philosophy a lot as well. I started with a Mk3 and upgraded it to a mk3.5 last year. When indx comes out, I will move my nextrueder over to it and turn it into a mk4S. So I'm still

“Does the Core One just work” Yes, here’s proof.

The two big pro for me are: That Prusa is open source firmware so you aren't beholden to the whims of the company. Bambu tried to lock down their firmware a few months ago but had to partially backtrack due to community outrage. Still it broke integration with third party slicers iirc. Prusa sells u

What’s your go to 3d printer brand? And printer that you have used and have barley any complains about

I have a Prusa MK2 that I can turn on and print like new, if I wanted. It has 28k hours and I've only replaced belts once, and fans due to bearings wearing out. I have three MK3s with more than 15k hours each, one near 20k. Again, only a few fans, one extruder because of my own dumb mistake. My MK4S

MK4S—>Core One Upgrade…Amateur Edition

If you updated from a MK4 or MK4S, you will need a lot of additional parts, so I would recommend to do this only if you consider this project to be worth your money (also consider the opportunity cost concerning other spendings of your money). On the other hand, if the MK4S was originally some older

MK3NX - pictures of the next version: added IR sensor and base for Fitting M5-4 connector.

Would it bee possible to mount the 5020 Fan for the MK4S? For now I am using this mod https://www.printables.com/model/977380-beta-prusa-mk4s-fan-mod-for-mk3s-original-toolhead an it works great, but eh better gear system would be nice. As far the test of the community goes, single gear extruders ar

MK3.5 or MK3.9, my dilemma...

I actually have 5 mk3s+. Upgrading all of them to mk4, mk4s or later to Core One would put a big hole in my pocket. So I just upgraded two of the mk3s+ to mk4, both to mk4s afterward and one to CoreOne two weeks ago. However, I upgraded only two mk3s I had in stock configuration. Two of the other mk

Ìs a new mk3s+ for 400$ still worth it?

Just 400 more and you got an mk4s while i have and use an mk3s+ (still not upgraded, the kit 3.5 waits on the shelf) i would not buy a new one. The next generation with the new more powerful buddy board and the new hotend is a big step forward. The mk3s+ is a long living workhorse. I would call one
