Hello deciding
I would personally splurge for the MK4S, the speed and quality is unmatched, and the MK4S is still phenomenal. Also, you have the option to upgrade it to a Core one later down the line. Rather than a mini for $700, you can get the MK4S kit with free shipping for $800 https://www.printedsolid.com/pro

Update: Let's talk about quality control for Prusa kits
As promised, here is my homing saga from issue 6 above. Apologies for the length. This is somehow the short version... From the very start, the printer had difficulty with the G28 (home all axes) command before each print and with homing calibration itself. It was tolerable at first, but it graduall

I need validation that I didn’t make a hasty and poor decision
If you haven't found it already, there are assembly instructions for the MK4S here. (make sure to double check you have the right model). Prusa's assembly instructions are always very good and very detailed. They are also paginated, so you can pick up where you left off pretty easily. Each page also

Layershift when multicolor printing
Had the same issue on my C1L with the excessive blobs on wipe towers. I manged to improve this a lot, but it's still not perfect and requires more tinkering. I suggest checking the following things: - Check Printers>>Single extruder MM setup>>Extra loading distance and filament parking position and

Is there future of the Original Prusa MK4/S Enclosure a dead end?
You can sell it, there is probably some customer base with mk3 and mk4 that may consider it for right price. I believe for various reasons enclosure for mk4 was really dead end. The Biggest issue is to volume you have to heat up, location of the printed part on the bottom due to printer construction

Is Prusa not offering the semi-assembled XL anymore?
About 6-8 years ago, I worked for a print farm running MK3s, and I built 4 or 5 of them for them in that time. Because even though Prusa was offering fully assembled printers, I made a decent wage assembling them and still came out less expensive building the kits. It was also an excellent education

Which 3d Printer should I buy?
Prusa is best at not treating their customers as enemies/adversaries, and their printers are pretty good too. They're a little outside your price range (eg: MK4S kit is €719), but I encourage you to consider it. Buying a second, good printer because you bought a cheap, crummy first printer is even m

What’s your go to 3d printer brand? And printer that you have used and have barley any complains about
I have a Prusa MK2 that I can turn on and print like new, if I wanted. It has 28k hours and I've only replaced belts once, and fans due to bearings wearing out. I have three MK3s with more than 15k hours each, one near 20k. Again, only a few fans, one extruder because of my own dumb mistake. My MK4S
