Any experience with CK3D Dual-Z mod for MINI+ (or the new big upgrade kit)?
I'm not familiar with those two mods above, but I did the BEAR-Conversion with the Silicon-bed-mod on the MINI+ and I never looked back. No more x-axis re-adjustments and now with DirectDrive instead of the bowden setup! (PETG!!!) :) (f.e.: https://www.printables.com/model/417710-prusa-mini-bear-fra

I love printing PETG again, but ... bad looking walls on one side of the print
This is a problem that is specifically exacerbated with Diamondback nozzles, and it gets much worse with larger nozzle diameters. I have had this issue with Diamondback nozzles on a Prusa XL and Prusa Mini. I have achieved acceptable results with 0.4mm and 0.6mm Diamondback nozzles. but had to retur

Mini extruder help
This is good info. I usually also press the filament quite hard until the gears take over. To clean the extruder gears, you don't need to disassemble it, there is a latch you can open which gives you access to the gear. I usually use some needle tweezers to remove any plastic leftovers from the feed

Give up?
Looking at the Prusa Mini, I'd think it would be ideal as the ptfe tube feeds from the side. The feed/retract is the sensitive issue, probably in all these MMU's. My config allows for adjusting the selector angle to get the sweet spot. There is no manual switch. I use a MKS GenL board to control it,

Bambu X2D available at Bestbuy NOW
Well, the possible extrusion issues, compared to direct drive, ale for all materials, mostly for TPU. So yes, and no.. But let's see if Bambu somehow fixes the issue previous manufacturers had with bowden. I had it in Prusa Mini, it was mostly OK, but all the issues I had were because of bowden.

Choosing one Mk3 Hotend
Wouldn't use any of the stock hotends. There is a BMG version on thingiverse (practicly the same as sold by Bondtech). You need the gears to do the 3:1 ratio, but any cheap set from AliExpress will do. As long as you keep the original Bondtech extruding gears. You can use the Prusa stepper motors -

Multimaterial MMU10 for PRUSA MINI+ Bear?
Ah, which GitHub page? And well done! My Prusa Mini has a sever Y axis skew (they axis is a parallelogram) and I can't print square replacement parts as it's my only printer. So going the Bear frame might be an option. I have the Revo Micro hotend on the standard Prusa Mini X carriage, and it's been

Should I stop upgrading my Ender 3 max and just buy a BambuLab printer?
You're going to get a biased response on this sub, but for me, I went from a double hand me down Prusa Mini+ to an H2C. I know that is a huge difference and not very comparable, buuuut, the print quality alone is worlds better. The BL filament and/or the print head/heater/whatever it is print so smo

Me after browsing this sub today
OTOH I've had Prusa Mini printer, which printed flawlessly despite Bowden extruder. My other cheaper/older machines were inferior even though they had direct drive. But agree, direct drive is better, but well made Bowden is okay too.
