Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection
For what you've described, the rMPP would work okay, but like you say battery isn't great - I think I only got around six hours before it needed a recharge. I liked the Viwoods AI Paper Mini for more portable note-taking, and the Supernote Nomad is also decent, however these are around 8", so not re

Boox Lineup - how confusing can it be (shopping for 10.3" color + notes tablet)
I think you are just showing you don't know how to online shop... If you want the newest, you go to their website and see the following devices: Tax X C Note Max Note Air5 C Note Air4 C Go 10.3 (Gen II) Go 10.3 Go 7 Go Color 7 (Gen II) Go Color 7 Go 6 Palma 2 Pro Palma 2 Palma Mira Series Mira lists

After a few weeks with the X4, I think it's all I need as an eReader
I am in the same boat! The boox palma is just not shove-in-your-pocket portable. The X4 has the form factor that I’ve been craving for years.

The X4 or other e-readers for a first-timer?
I wouldn't recommend it. If you want something in the same kind of form factor, I'd go for either Boox Palma or Inkpalm. If you want something cheap, you can get older kindles for under 50 bucks, anything with a 300 PPI screen is still great (basically everything from the past decade). The X4 has no

Trick: Auto sleep/wake with stylus on BOOX Palma 2 Pro
I see that and can't help but think it's far too small to be an effective note taker. I thought my Kobo Libra Colour was too small to take notes on, which is why I never bothered to carry the pen around with it. But damn, that Palma is even worse. I'll stick to my Boox Note Air 4c for taking notes,

Why haven't E-Ink devices gone Mainstream?
Cost and less functional than a phone which means they will end up carrying two devices. Unless someone is trying to consume less social media on purpose, aside from reading, they see no use for e-ink. Most of my friends who are computer nerds have no clue what e-ink is, I have to specify it's the "

Is boox the best option for me?
Do you prefer reading on small screens, or tolerate it for the portability of the device? If not, then I recommend Boox Go 7 over the palma 2. It's just a better reading experience in my opinion. I bought both the palma 2 and the go 7 a few weeks ago to try them out and I'm returning the palma 2. It

The Boox Palma 2 is incredibly fragile and should be avoided
This is actually why I went with a Go 7 instead of a Palma. The Palma size is only beneficial because it is portable but eink devices are so fragile that you should never travel with it. I had gotten about a good 2 years out of my Note Air 3 because I never took it away from my home. It had a dedica

Sell me on the Xteink X4 — why pick a 4.3" screen over a Kindle Paperwhite?
I have a Kindle Paperwhite, and I have an X4, they are really different use cases. The paperwhite is bigger and has the backlight, touchscreen, and ease of purchasing ebooks. But it's bulkier and annoying to cart around with me. I also have to disable the touchscreen sometimes since accidental press
