OM-5 cheaper than E-M5III?

No idea why the price would be less given same condition/shutter count. But go for the OM-5. Might as well have a newer camera with newer processor and more features (Hand held high res, LiveND, starry sky AF, supposedly improved IBIS). The fact that OM released an om-5 mark ii without resolving the

Canon M6 Mark II - worth it?

Yeah, don't buy this. This was an issue the E-M5 III from Olympus (and it's OM successors) were famous for. This looks like a particularly severe example, there are cracks going up both sides of the camera. Depending on the construction of the camera the effect of the damage could vary, but this loo

Is there something better than Lumix GX85 in the similar price range and size?

You have conflicting priorities. In a lot of ways most phones are better than a GX85 for video - autofocus, formats, etc. GX85 has very outdated autofocus technology and video formats. I cannot describe it as “good”. I describe Panasonic G9 as “OK” and Panasonic G9II as “good”. Phones are on G9II le

My First impression of the Pen F as a GX85 user.

This is sadly very true. From what I can see, all their current tech was done under Olympus (the OM-1, which should have been the E-M1 mark IV was already almost finalized when Olympus sold their camera division to JIP... they didn't even bother redoing the molds to remove the Olympus logo on it). T

I find the OM-D naming scheme incredibly confusing

1-series: flagship body with full grip.3-series: flagship body with no grip.5-series: semi-pro body, shallow grip.10-series: casual body, smallest and lightest. I used to be confused by the similar form factor between the E-M10 and E-M5, but the difference is that all models of E-M5 are weatherproof

So I got my OM5ii. What I gonna use as a Flash?

Let’s do a little history lesson…. Truepic VIII cameras - EM1ii and EM5iii. Essentially the same tech shrunk into a smaller lighter package. Inextricably, Olympus removes the USB-C of the early camera for Micro USB. Truepic IX cameras - EM1iii and OM-5. Same deal, same nonsensically Micro USB. Oh an

It's M43 Monday! Ask Us Anything about Micro Four-Thirds Photography - all questions welcome!

OM-5 Mark III E-M5 III? --- OM5 III does not exist... yet... ------------------ 12-32's can be found on ebay and places like mpb for like $100-150. I would avoid the "EZ" lens, it's prone to break (internal ribbon cable problems). I like the 14-42 II R personally.

Just what were people expecting with the OM5?

The OM-5 is to the E-M5 III as the E-M1 III was to the Mark II. Nothing mind-blowing, but some very notable computational photography and autofocus improvements with modestly upgraded IBIS. I think there was extra disappointment with the OM-5 because many Olympus fans had existing gripes with the E-

Beginner: OM-5 I/II, GX9 or Fuji?

PetaPixel and Emily from Micro Four Nerds on how to save Micro Four Thirds - the manufacturers only make large premium cameras and are afraid to make a small one that isn't plastic and chintzy

What's interesting to me is that the OG e-m5 at launch brought brand new things to the line up. Brand new 16mp sensor, new 5-axis IBIS system, new processor, faster bursts. The e-m1 actually came a bit after the e-m5, but they were not afraid to bring brand new capabilities to the smaller body. Even
