Best bang for your bucks these days isn't either Logitech or Elgato. OBSBOT Meet 2 4k, or OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite if you want one that can follow you around in a room if you walk around.

OBSBot Tiny 2 (no relation to OBS software company). They put a DSLR chip in a webcam for capturing the image(video) contents. and motorized pan/zoom and optional ai features without subscription like gesture control for the zoom and headtracking etc.

For a big hall on a tight budget, the Obsbot Tiny 2 or a Mevo Start are worth looking at - both under $300 and designed for exactly this kind of community streaming. For audio in a large space, a cheap clip-on lapel mic on whoever's speaking will do more for sound quality than any room mic at that p

I’ve got an OBSBOT Tiny 2 and it’s been great. No reason to upgrade to the ZV, which I have considered. Maybe if I ever actually make money I’ll consider it, hah.
