Is it worth buying an external webcam if you already have a decent laptop?

Yes, most people who switch notice a clear upgrade, especially in sharpness and low-light. A solid mid-range option is the OBSbot Meet 2-4K: much better image quality than typical laptop cams, good low-light performance, and easy setup for Zoom/Teams. FWIW my mate and I usually check Redditrecs befo

Best Webcam for the Money in 2026?

Have a look at OBSBOT Meet 2-4K. Paid 149€ for mine a month ago. Couldn’t be happier. But for those who work on company laptops - to get access to its full potential you need to instal Obsbot software that needs admin right to do. I had to fight a bit with my It dept. to get it.

Best camera for live-streaming?

I have a 3-cam setup for streaming. Overhead and side cams are OBSBot Meet 2's, front camera is my old iphone12 with a Death lens (90's skate video fisheye). These are all USB'd into my streaming computer. iPhone uses 'OBS Camera' app with OBS plugin. Low light image quality is good on all 3 cams, b

Fixing Some FPS Drop/Stutters & More (multistream in particular)

I'd love to try and help! So with that plugin it shows general cpu usage for each scene, for me in particular My league of legends OUT OF GAME client was doing 2% per scene /canvas. The thing for me that was destroying cpu usage was, I have a Obsbot meet 2 camera that can do 4k 30, When i set it to

4K 240hz oled “studio display”

Actually, on the webcam subject: take a look at the Obsbot Meet 2. I suggest it because it comes with a magnetic stand and a detachable usb-c cable. So you could attach the stand to the monitor full-time, and hide the part the camera sits on when it's not in use. Maybe even attach the usb-c cable to

Looking for good webcam with 60fps. Saw the Logitech C922 Pro was on sale, thoughts?

Obsbot meet 2 is great. I switched from Logitech c920 because fps mismatch was causing weird delays. An excellent camera for the price

is this a okay starter camera?

Honestly it really depends on what you’re looking for. My two I would suggest would be an Elgato FaceCam (4K if you really wanna pop) or the OBSBOT Meet 2. The latter has tech in it that can track your movement and even use vocal commands to change zooms and such. Both of these you can get below $20

What would be the best webcam for recording?

Absolutely loving my Obsbot Meet 2! I’ve used a bunch of webcams before, Logitech C920 included and honestly, this thing leaves them all in the dust. The video quality is next level: crisp, sharp, and super vibrant colors that make you look professional, whether you’re streaming, recording, or just
