Building a PC before prices get any higher, hoping for feedback

A few thoughts: For gaming, there’s no benefit to paying more for an X870 chipset over B850. You’re paying for extra data lanes that have no use in gaming. Both boards have PCIe 5 to the first x16 slot, so there’s your possible future use. If you’re gaming, no point to an HDD unless you’re playing g

Here we go again....

That’s a good build overall, but I have a few minor suggestions… You’re paying a lot for that 6000/CL34 memory. You won’t notice any difference with 6000/CL36 memory and it saves you £85. Take £35 of that savings and get a larger capacity SSD. You’ll be surprised how fast you’ll fill a 1TB SSD with

Build gegen-check auf no-go's

Gaming PC Build

The one in the picture is a better build (it uses a better CPU with current DDR5 RAM; the pcpartpicker list you put together uses massively overpriced older DDR4 RAM with an older and worse performing Intel 14700K CPU). However, both are not good value. Suggestions below that provide a better CPU an

First time builder based in AUS $4000-$5000

Suggestions below that will get you a very good 1440p gaming system for under $4000, including a 1440p 320hz monitor. CPU: The 9800X3D is one of the best gaming CPU's available. CPU Cooler: The Phantom Spirit is a very good air cooler for AM5 Ryzen and easily capable of cooling the 9800X3D. Motherbo

Advice on build

Don't get the nitro+ it has the 12hpwr cable and I've seen reports of it melting a few times already. The pulse runs fine temp/performance wise. Otherwise spend the $400 I saved you on a 5070 ti. You'll get better AAA performance with DLSS ray tracing etc. Better mobo still has pcie 5.0 x16 and main

Which option would choose?

After making a quick budget pcpp list. You'd be paying $2950 for same build 2tb t500 drive ($3150 can get you in a 4tb hmb) without windows(keys are free/$20 elsewhere online) . $2850 with a cheap 1tb of similar tier to what's in the prebuilt. So you'd have to build it yourself you lose warranty on
