I asked the same thing recently: does the dongle use AES or a similar encryption method. I got this response: The 2.4 GHz dongle that comes with the NuPhy Air75 V3 does not use AES or similar encryption algorithms. However, the keyboard’s 2.4 GHz connection is secured using protocol-level encryption

I did the same. The price was crazy good (€75), and there are some very valid considerations to be done about the firmware - especially relevant for use on Linux systems like a Linux computer or a Steam Deck The v2 is the last Air that comes with open source QMK + VIA firmware. This is really releva

I made a nearly-same post about this same issue a few days ago. Womier has WoB and also BoW low-profile keys that are PBT (textured and durable) and shine-through. XVX offers the Skyline R2 set as well (low-profile and PBT). The black shine-throughs that NuPhy offers is PC which is more of a slipper

I got a Steam Deck recently and I'm looking for a wireless keyboard so I can travel with it as well as do some non-controller gaming on the couch. Elsewhere the NuPhy Air75 V3 is highly recommended, but it seems like the brand is reviled here due to quality control issues. What are some alternatives

The same issue is present on Air75 V3. The best course of action I'd recommend is for you to return the board and buy from a different brand (Keychron/IQUNIX/Lofree etc.). I'm not saying that out of spite tor NuPhy, but rather based on my own experience with the Air75 V3 which has the same exact iss

"This is my second nuphy keyboard and last one, I really prefer to just trash it and treat it as expensive lesson than to spend hours debugging and recording videos for something that should have been returned without too much hassle." This! The issue with the repeating keys is easy to reproduce on

I bought an Air75 v3 about a month ago and had all sorts of odd issues using it on Arch Linux with GNOME, much like you describe. I updated to the latest firmware at that time but it just seemed the firmware had never been tested with a Linux machine (and it surprises me that it makes any difference

NuPhy still has bad QC I see. Anyways, why not buy some low profile switches? Air75 v3 is hotswappable right?

Lol don't ask AI. It's dumb, and it's eroding your ability to critically evaluate information. Just about everything it told you is wrong, and this is pretty basic and easy to research manually, no offence. There is no NuPhyIO installer to download, and AFAIK, NuPhy doesn't publish anything regardin
