I mean, Nintendo is a toy company. They're there to sell the newest bells and whistles they can make even if it was literally out of cardboard. They're not here to sell the hottest and newest tech .. since the Switch 2's hardware is even dated at this point too compared to what you'd see from the PS

I like this design, instead of being a bland Nintendo Switch, it has a completely different screen and the two joy-cons have unique decoration to represent their colors based on the original Switch 8/10

I have them but don’t generally use them because it feels awkward to use without more space in between the left and right controllers. I prefer something similar to what the Nintendo Switch comes with that the joy cons slide into giving it a more traditional controller feel.

This is also the only official Nintendo Joy-Con with a D-pad, and though it looks goofy, you can play handheld with just the left controller in and the D-pad orients correctly, and it's much nicer to play the NES NSO games.
