What a nostalgic blast from the past!
I’m so glad DK oldies are preserving and repairing Nintendo’s legacy consoles for all to enjoy at a price point and quality Nintendo would approve of. I also remember that princess peach sprite, she’s from my favorite classic Mario game, Super Mario 3D All Stars Collection, only available at DK oldi

My school bought a bunch of Switches to use as a "reward" activity for middle school kids. What could this look like, and how best to manage?
My first purchase would be screen protection for all consoles, but especially for the Lites. A regular switch can still display to the TV with a cracked screen, but a Lite is toast since it can't connect to anything else. I'd also consider a controller budget.. Stock joycons are notorious for issues

A Comparison of Prices Across All Major Gaming Consoles.
The problem for the Switch 2 for me isn’t the price of the console, it’s how it is monetized. They are charging $99 for another pair of joy con which are likely to drift in a couple of years. They charge $90 for a pro controller. They charge to use a built in game chat feature (only took them 20 yea

This is how it feels as a general Nintendo fan in 2026 who just wants to enjoy their games and systems without getting caught up in internet wars.
Joy-Con drift: known issue, knowingly screwing the customer over Nintendo still gives free repairs out of warranty in several regions to anyone who has Joy-Con drift. Nintendo uses software locks, warranty voidance threats, and parts restrictions to force consumers to use only Nintendo's official re

How is it possible for the joystick to pop out of my controller just from falling off my bed onto carpeted floor?
I had it happen with a Joy-Con when my Switch landed facedown on the floor. I never had it happen to any other controller before that, so I've been pretty lucky. From my experience, Xbox seems to have some sturdy controllers compared to Nintendo and Playstation.

Switch 2 not turning on, don’t know how to tell if it is even charging at all!
Nintendo wouldn't replace a joy con if you sent it in with the console saying it melted them?

[Switch] is this repairable?
Sounds like you just need a replacement shell Here's a guide: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo+Switch+Left+Joy-Con+Shell+Replacement/130378 If it's just the rail that's broken, you can use this guide to replace it: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Left+Joy-Con+Charging+Rail+Replacement/142938 Note

/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (04/28/2026)
So commonly, this is due to the controller failing to charge from the system. Eventually it just runs out of charge and dies. Hence, no longer working. Bad news, if you can't confirm that the fault was the joycon alone, then a replacement might face the same fate. If the system rail has broken. Then

Nintendo game console tier list
The switch 1 for me is C tier, The online shop is awful, subscription service, and removed what made the Wii U online special. 20 gigabytes of storage, Flat out given the switch 1 the worst ports sometimes. The joy con controls are terrible. The more I think about it the only positive I can say is t

Wobbly joycon
Just like the original Joy-Cons. But since the Mobapads are wider, the effect is more noticeable. Don't pull on them like that; they're designed to have some play. If you haven't checked it out yet, the "Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour" is really cool and teaches us a few details like this.
