So Long to the Z7 Platform?

Nah. It's pretty clear that Nikon doesn't think there's enough demand for a Z7/Z8/Z9. We all (on reddit) would like for Nikon to do an A7R alternative Z7III. A high megapixel slow still camera is a niche that's not currently filled, and doesn't require a fast readout sensor.

Captured these photos with my Z7ii, considering selling in favor of the Z8.

The only caveat is when do we see "Expeed 8"? I don't think it's too nearby for Z8 II, as I'd expect a Z9 first. I also trust the sentiment that Nikon may not be as generous with the Z8 II if they are concerned with lost Z9 sales. So all that said - if you're going after wildlife and especially BIF,
