I think the difference is that in the Sony system, you can have an excellent setup in the APS-C system without needing to step up. And if you do? You can use those same DX sensors and still have a great resolution crop. A6700 - IBIS? Done. Affordable primes? Done. Affordable constant f2.8 zooms? Don
