Oddly enough, I think it's the other way around. Image quality, when it comes to still images, hasn't improved much in the last 15 years. You're unlikely to notice the difference between a shot taken with, say, a Nikon D800 and a Nikon Z6 Mark III. And if you shrink the image size, even a photo from

FCPC is Flexible Color Picture Control compatible with Nikon Zf, Z6 III, Z50 II and Z5 II for now. You add ER-VINTAGE-C.NP3 to root of your SD card and then with Manage Picture Control in camera copy it to one slot, select it with Select Picture Control and set WB to Natural Light Auto and results w

I have both of these cameras. Here are my observations (assuming you shoot RAW): For birds, planes, and generally small far-away things, even with the 180-600, I love having the extra resolution the Z8 gives. The Z6 III does not (yet) have a dedicated bird detect mode, but that is coming this year:

TL;DR: If you’re coming from a Canon T7 and want pro-level autofocus without the $2,500+ price tag of a Z6 III or A7 IV, the Nikon Z5 II is the move. 1.Better "Brains" than Sony (The AF Argument) While Sony has historically led the AF game, the Z5 II inherited the EXPEED 7 processor from the flagshi

X-Pro2. Hands down. The X-T30III is a great camera, and the X-M5 is a nice little body, and both are technically better than the X-Pro2 on pretty much every aspect besides build quality. But if what you want is fun? Well, the X-Pro2 is the most fun I've had with a camera period. And I'm a camera hoa

You already said you don't need to, so don't. Based on IQ, you won't notice a worthwhile difference with a Z6/Z6ii in daylight (BSI/higher native iso helps for low light a lot though.. Z6/Z6II are Nikon's best "low light" cameras ever, with Zf close). To me, a worthwhile (cheapest) upgrade begins wi

Assuming that you're in the US, I would look at KEH/MPB, or Nikon's refurb sales... If you don't want to look at DX cameras, I would probably try out the Z6ii (lists at KEH for $1150). Nothing like the Z8 for AF, but if you use single-point, or possibly one of the area-modes, you might still be happ

I find myself unable to provide a substantive answer to the question you ask, but I can write this - I managed to take some of my best photographs using a Nikon Z50 as well as create and develop a YouTube channel using a Nikon Z6. If you find a Nikon Z6 III incapable of delivering a good-enough imag

I have made the jump from Fuji to NIkon back in 2023, going from an X-H1 to a Z6 (which I still have. I have since moved to micro four thirds for multiple reasons, but I kept the Z6 as a side system when I need full frame). In short, I feel like you will get upgrades in ergonomics, low light perform

At this venue I could have easily gotten to the side of them and even behind them, there is a path to the restrooms behind them and people often sit behind the curtain and watch. Those were actually with my nikon 40mm f2 (most of them, a few were from my 28-75 however I cannot remember if I used tha
