I wish they made a black OM-3, this is what it would look like.

every camera that has any aspiration in being a retro body should be available in both silver and black, as both silver and black film cameras were generally available. Fujifilm undestood the assignment, all of their retro bodies come in either black or silver (if not more). But both OM and Nikon re

Yeah if you sort both subs by New and follow them for a while it does seem like there are more images and less chatter on Fujifilm. Probably several thi gs going on. Nikon historically has been more widely known and has made a lot more cameras than Fujifilm. A lot of gear questions in this sub are a

Can you shoot with film recipes on Nikon Zfc? Thoughts on the Zfc?

-EVF -Fully articulating screen -Flash -Film simulation in camera (less work in post) -Vintage/ retro camera design That's a long list, but due to the vintage/retro design that limits it to three Nikons: Df, Zfc, and Zf. The EVF and articulating screen limit it to the last two, and none of them have

Comparison Fujifilm XT-2 and Nikon Zfc

You are not wrong but the Nikon Z fc is not a great camera itself. The ergonomics are pretty terrible and it’s uncomfortable to hold for long. Despite the retro look, it feels surprisingly plasticky in the hand, and the Z-mount DX lens lineup is still very limited, which really holds it back.

Broken EVF - Nikon Z8

I know when I had issues with my Zfc it had to be sent into Nikon to fix and it was around $530 but all they had to do was replace the Exposure Compen

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! March 20, 2026

I just sold all my gear, ready to (modestly) upgrade my camera and lenses. I’m an artist and writer who isn’t technically a “professional “ photographer (never going to shoot a wedding, for example) but uses photographs editorially, in collage, or as screen print stencils. I don’t need bells and whi

Nikon Zfc or Nikon Z50

If you want a film camera, buy a Nikon Fm. It has real dials and levers and sells now for under $200. The Zfc has fake dials that are actually just electronics with a fake retro style. Have you seen those cars that look like a Model-T but are really a modern chassis with a fiberglass body attached?
