Nikon is completely missing the Artemis II moment with the Z9

Two D5 DSLRs, and one experimental Z9 that is being certified for use on the moon. Z9s are already certified for use in space, they're on the ISS as we speak, but apparently not for the lunar surface. My guess is that the z9 will pass it's tests and by the time the actual landings happen the D5s wil

He's dead, Jim (D500 replacements?).

No Z8 II soon, it will be at least a year after a Z9II, and the only pro Z cameras (settings banks like you're used to) are the Z8 and Z9. The highest-end DX Z body is the Z50II, which is a D5x00 replacement camera and not nearly up to the pro standards. Why not just send it to Nikon and use their f

New High Resolution Image of The Earth taken by the Artemis II astronauts.

This was likely shot with one of the Nikon Z9s they have onboard. In which case, I'd say this is likely largely unaltered, to the extent possible. EDIT: Someone has provided a link and EXIF data, it was shot with a D5, with both a long exposure and high ISO. It's probably had a fair bit of noise red

Photos for teen vogue by erika parente long

What are the benefits of using a medium format camera, since the Nikon Z9 is a capable enough camera for any glossy magazine cover? Thank you for the answer about the lights!

Sony user rents a Z6iii pt2 - first impressions

intuitive menu is basically depend on which brand you're used to. For me Nikon is the most intuitive as I used Nikon since 2010 and the menu basically stay the same throughout the years. Canon is the next one, but Sony has the worst menu for me. Not to shit on sony, but just to show that 'bad menu'

The Z8 is MY nostalgic camera - a dumb take on the Z8

Yes. My Z9 feels incredibly similar to the D4s that I had. Only the EVF and the lack of mirror slap really reminds me that it is a much newer body. This is why I like Nikon. It has less “clinical” feeling compared to Sonys and whatnot.

70-200 for portraits

I am a working professional photographer. I do use lenses such as the 70-200 Z f2.8, for portraits. I have been shooting, professionally for over 45 years and I only use zoom lenses, these days. I personally find that primes don’t work for me. They are just not as flexible as zoom lenses are. The im

For all the Pros who shoot Nikon

“Gear doesn’t matter” means buying a great ( expensive) camera doesn’t make you a great photographer. A great photographer will get great shots regardless of the gear. Conversely, an untrained/unskilled photographer isn’t going to get great shots just because they have a great camera. As a few peopl

Z6 III or Z8? I’m tired of staring at spec sheets and my bank account.

and there are photos that I can take with those cameras that I could never have dreamed would've been possible with any other camera. Can you elaborate? I had a z9, and now shoot with a z6iii. I primarily used the z9 when I shot a ton of HS sports, and when I got it there was nothing that matched it

Upgrade my gear from Nikon Z6II to Nikon Z8

The Z8 far, far exceeds the Z6ii in almost every way, so I am confident in saying it will be better “in terms of performance and technical features”, since you haven’t actually said what your needs are. AF performance, subject detection, 3D tracking, speed, resolution, controls, video, low latency v
