Switched From Canon To Nikon, I think I made the right choice.

"....looking on upgrading to the Nikon Z6ii or Z5ii next year." The Z6II will not feel like much of an upgrade. When you do get around to upgrading, don't bother with anything other than an EXPEED 7 body - they are an order of magnitude better in the AF department. Currently that means a Z50II, Z5II

D850 to mirrorless?

Well, I have a couple of D850s still, but I moved to Z9's when they first came out for a few reasons, and it's an absolutely incredible camera. I do a lot of stuff where I really need the speed, and video things where the new features come in handy. And even though most of the current primes were no

Is Nikon Z50 II better than Canon R50 bundle for a beginner?

The Nikon, the kit lenses are better and Nikon didn't bring the cripple hammer to the Z50II so it gets the full range of automatic AF capabilities from the Z9. But it's not by a lot (OK, the lens is a lot better, the body less so), they're both very good.

A cursory comparison review of the Nikon Z9 and Sony A7M5 for bird photography

“I use a Nikon for still birds and a Sony for flying birds” what does that even mean? The Z9 is plenty capable of capturing both. Why edit two completely different colour sciences?

Posting this banger. 😳🙂‍↔️

It’s incredible. I’m unfortunately selling my Nikon 200f2, but with the Z9 in DX, this lens becomes 75-225 f2 (only when I need the reach though.) Focusing is insanely accurate, precise, and sharp. It’s so damn light too.

Would upgrading to a Z8 help me?

The Z8 has subject/eye detect/tracking which makes it light years ahead of the DSLR focus systems. Its stacked sensor means the data stream feeding the focus system never gets interrupted while taking a photo. You can shoot at 20 fps and the focus system never loses sight of the subject like it woul

Nikon Z9 AF Settings for Sports

Below is how the AF modes work on all of the EXPEED 7 bodies including the Z8/Z9. Long story short, for Sports, most people are probably going to want to use a custom sized wide/small area box with various other options added depending on the specific situation. 3D Tracking AF uses color/brightness/

Z6 III or Z8? I’m tired of staring at spec sheets and my bank account.

and there are photos that I can take with those cameras that I could never have dreamed would've been possible with any other camera. Can you elaborate? I had a z9, and now shoot with a z6iii. I primarily used the z9 when I shot a ton of HS sports, and when I got it there was nothing that matched it

DSLR or Mirrorless?

I was a very long holdout, switching to mirrorless late because I can't stand low-quality EVFs, or EVFs that cannot show you a live preview of the scene while shooting continuously. When the Z9 came out I made the leap and never looked back. Even after all this time the Z8/Z9 are still the only bodi

Which Nikon Z body is best for dog photography with strong AF tracking (without going to Z8/Z6III)?

Yes, the D850 is a DSLR and it’s expected to work well, but if you want to buy a Nikon Z and not regret the purchase in the long run, you should go for a model with the EXPEED 7 processor. Cameras with EXPEED 6 work well, but they lack many modes and features. The Z5II uses the same sensor as the Zf
