I’m an avid Z7ii user (was my first mirrorless Nikon after 9 successful years with the D610), and I’d love for them to have a successor but I really can’t really think of where it would fit in the current lineup. The Z8 is a phenomenal camera, but even now I prefer the slightly smaller and lighter Z

It strongly depends on your autofocus needs. Since you didn't mention stuff like wildlife, sports, racing or other fast paced situations, the Z7II will probably be better due to the higher MP count. If you think about starting some wildlife or sports, get the Z5II. It has the newer processor, so the

I shot a wedding with a Z7ii as my second body once. I've had a Z30 as a second/pocket body for other event types, but I wanted a second 45mp sensor, so I borrowed one. My. God. Two thoughts after that experience: What an amazing landscape camera. WEDDINGS ARE NOT LANDSCAPES Expeed7 is like 4 genera

16-year gap between my F and Z body. I've been holding off on moving to Z because too much of the value in my eyes is in video. I could get a Z6III for the E7 processor, but the majority of the money spent will be on video specs I'll never touch. While the Z bodies made with photo shooting in mind,

Out of the cameras you listed, I’d recommend the Z6iii. The expeed7 with faster frame rates, significantly enhanced subject detection, and near blackout free shooting are huge advantages. You are also getting some of the best video options. The Z6ii I wouldn’t even consider over the Z5ii. The Z7ii g

Dynamic range differences When the Z6 iii was new and there was lots of discussion about dynamic range reductions: I took my old Z6 and new Z6 iii and shot a night scene with a tripod, same lens, matching manual settings. At 100% zoom, looking at a pair of photos, I could spot slightly more detail i

The Zf is the better camera in most situations. Yes the Z7ii has a higher MP sensor so if you need that, it’s a good option. But in the digital world, megapixels aren’t everything even if marketing pushes people to get the higher about. 24mp is more than enough in so many circumstances, both hobbyis

I like this answer and thought process. Kind of where I am with the 8 vs 7 in regard to footprint. My focus isn't sports or video so the updated / faster processer is nice, but not a deal-breaker for me. What would you consider the biggest shortcoming to the Z7ii?
