Let’s See Those In-room Response Curves!
Minidsp Flex driving two Neumann KH-120 II's and a pair of OG SVS SB-1000 subs in fullrange stereo mode. Heavily treated small room, focused on tight balanced decay across frequency range for analytical nearfield use. Target curve 6dB bass boost from flat. The subs have evil THD below 35Hz so I drop

Studio Monitor Recommendations — Alternatives to the Genelec 8330
A comparable choice would be the Neumann KH 120 II. This model is front-ported and therefore can be placed right against a wall. Other than that they are very similar to the 8330 in performance and build quality.

Let’s See Those In-room Response Curves!
Neumann KH120 II DSP studio monitor pair + 2x KH750 DSP subwoofers. There's only so much room correction can do below 50Hz in my smallish untreated square room. Still sounds great to my ears though.

Why everyone on here think passive speakers are always better than active.
Based on cursory glance in Spinorama, 1500 euro budget might allow reaching spinorama score better than 6.5 after equalization, which is already very good. Something like Neumann KH-120-II should do the trick, especially if you want near field listening unit. Passives exist for similar tonal accurac

What to do with a hi rise apartment with glass walls
I'm personally thinking something with a narrower radiation field, but otherwise accurate unit might be the best fit in reflective spaces. More focused sound radiation pattern should involve the room as little as possible. I might suggest something like Neumann KH 120 II, maybe, or pair of Klipsch F

Studio Monitors / HiFi bookshelf speakers advice
Much easier to get low reaching bookshelf speakers if you go with active studio monitors. (DSP to correct for the drivers response and a dedicated amplifier for each driver.) For example: Genelec 8330A SAM (ASR review) (Thomann listing) Genelec 8340A SAM (Thomann listing) (slightly over your 2.5k€ b

Audio monitors placement in assymetrical room
The best choice (must have) for an untreated room is to use monitors with built-in DSP and room correction. Such as Neumann KH 80 DSP / KH120 II etc., IKmultimedia iloud micro monitor Pro / MTM II / Precision 5 etc.

Upgrading to Multichannel Setup- Need Advice
I'd only build it as 5.1.2 if you are working on projects that have atmos deliverables. I do a lot of atmos pre-dubbing in a 7.1 space before getting to a 9.1.6 space. I don't love smaller speakers in the surrounds unless your room is quite big. If you can hit the DARDT with Neumann KH120 II DSPs th

Just sold my kaya s12, looking for something that is more transparent
kinda did this exact move from s12s. for nearfield transparency and that holographic imaging, dutch and dutch 8c are the endgame but they're huge. more realistic: kef ls50 meta with a decent sub, or neumann kh120 ii if you want active. both disappear in nearfield and give you way more insight than t

Desktop Stereo Speaker Recommendations
My days in production are long gone, and I now prefer to enjoy hi-fi listening. Why Neumann? Objectively speaking, the Berlin-based company simply produces damn good loudspeakers. For me, this means that the Neumann KH120 II (ASR), for example, reproduces frequencies in the range from 44Hz (@-3dB) l
