Bearing in mind that some "premium" boards are kind of bad, so this isn't THAT huge a hurdle. Actually "better" or at least in the same class. I would say I like the 5075 VIA better than any aluminum board because it's not a chonk: Akko 5075B VIA is rather good. Comes with extra parts so when you lo

That board is by HKGaming, and it is a cheap, shoddy trademark-violating lookalike of the Skyloong GK61. They have an injunction against them using the name but it's China so it doesn't mean much. There's another terrible clone sold under the "Geeky GK61" name. You're probably puling up reviews of t

HK gaming GK61 HK Gaming is currently in violation of the court order that Skyloong (the actual manufacturer of the real GK61) has won against them. The "HK Gaming GK61" is a shoddy forgery. Do not get it. On top of which that one is optical. That's double red flags. Here are some actually good 60%

Look like pretty generic budget mechanicals with pretty generic terrible Windows software. I'm sure they're made in China, they're all made in China even your Logitech and wot. The Limited Edition Oasis looks like an older model Skyloong GK61 with XDA caps, the software is kind of distinctive and th

Fantech seems to be an Australian brand, at least I've only ever seen it advertised on Amazon AU, but on paper this looks like an amazing deal for a mechanical QMK-based mechanical keyboard in your market. Fantech MAXFIT 6 (AUD $80) Other options: Womier VK66 Pro (AUD $82) I have tested this and it'

I don't think that anybody has a 60% with silent switches prebuilt so you either have to get a new keyboard and silent switches or stick silent switches in your existing keyboard. Okay looking at the Amazon link, if that's the specific board it's the SK61 which uses optical switches which are kind o

The RK61 is a Chinese keyboard. :) The new version of the RK61 with QMK firmware is pretty nice, and it's a great platform for experiemneting on. I have created a whole new layout using custom firmware for the new RK61. Source code and layout Download firmware For stock, the Skyloong GK61 DS/Pro is

You could try the actual Skyloong GK61. Unfortunately HKGaming is ripping the original off with a much worse copy. :( Sorry. Anyway: Skyloong GK61 QMK/VIA * ($54) I would recommend swapping the switches out with Outemu silent lemon or silent yellow jade for a quieter more accurate board. https://www

The Redragon k717 is a good inexpensive board that I have seen recommended for gaming but it seems to be out of stock everywhere now. I would not recommend any of their other small boards, they have really awful software. The k717 is running QMK firmware instead and is really an exception. Other dec

They're heavy. I have a few and they have a nice luxurious heft to them and feel expensive, they're just kind of clumsy to shift. Some of the smaller cases are OK. Wood is also super rigid but lightweight, an all-around better material. There are also some plastic cases that are nice and rigid. The
