Ergonomic alternative to the pro controller 2
Others have given good alternatives. You could try the Mobapad Chitu 2 silent but I haven’t held it so I can’t say if it has bigger grips than the switch 2 pro controller. I feel you on the chronic pain as someone with psoriatic arthritis that affects a lot of areas in my body.

Would using turbo buttons get you banned on online?
I used 8bitdo ultimate. But Nintendo did a patch so now only some controllers turbo will work with squeezer in online matches. I’d recommend Mobapad Chitu 2 silent edition. The regular version of this controller has a weird issue where the gyro will spaz out. The silent hasn’t had this issue for me

Recommendations for squishy, quiet, non clicky joycons for switch2?
The OG Joycons are pretty quiet, but if you want a real controller you can get the Mobapad Chitu 2 Silent for about $50 at Amazon. It wakes up the Switch 2 and it's quiet.
