How Long Do Surface's Last
My Surface Pro 6 is still like brand new after heavy use over the years. Surface devices are built to last. Obviously if you heavily abuse it or got a defective unit, then that'll be a different case. But I've always found Microsoft device built very well, even better than the more popular competito

Does anyone know if the Surface Laptop 6 screen assembly is compatible with older Surface Laptops?
The Surface Pro 4 was compatible with the Surface Pro 2017 and SP6 screen assembly with a new LCD flex and transferring the old N-trig touch controller board, despite the SP4 being different in almost every other way. So I wouldn't dismiss the idea just yet. A few years ago I pulled apart a Surface

Digital Notes
I have a Surface Pro 6 (I got the 6 as it's the cheapest one that's compatible with Win11) with a Surface Pen and have been using OneNote (as the OU gives you a Microsoft 365 subscription) to take notes, I also have a keyboard cover for the Surface so it doubles as a mini laptop. Does anyone have experiential information on 2 in 1 laptop/ tablets that they can pass on?
I have been using Surface Pros since about 2013, 3 in all, currently Surface Pro 7 bought in 2020 (still with the first one's Type Cover going strong). I use it for everything, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, developer stuff, mySQL and SQLite databases/analytics (plus a SQL Server database in the pa

Desktop or Laptop for streaming visual novel ?
For visual novels only, would you prioritize low power usage (5-10W laptop) or extra RAM and performance (~40W desktop) ? Ideally you want enough RAM so that the OS doesn't get into the way of the game, and good <10W performance to run the visual novel well if it's a mobile device. I've used plenty

Windows 10 on Surface Pro 6 is worth it
Windows 11 runs fine on the Surface Pro 6 once you manually install the latest Surface Firmware and Driver Pack from Microsoft’s support site not just Windows Update. The touch issues come from an outdated Intel Serial IO and Touch Controller driver, which cause the screen to freeze after sleep.

Report: Microsoft quietly kills official way to activate Windows 11/10 without internet
I love MS Surface for some reason. Had a Surface Book. Have a Surface Pro 6 that I've repurposed as it's slowed down. Have a surface pro X that I bought as a "secondary" device initially, but began using as my primary device because it was so small and easy to take with me everywhere. The X has been
