MKBHD's video about the Mac Neo feels like he purposely didnt mention Surface laptops. Instead used

I have the Neo and the Surface laptop 7 (and the latest surface Pro arm) No. The surface Laptop is not 10x a better laptop than the neo. Straight false. I am a fan of the whole Surface lineup, but Microsoft dropped the ball long time ago. Apple laptops since the M1 are much better, in both: value an

Next-gen 13.8 and 15-inch Surface Laptops should be rebranded as Surface Laptop Pro.

No, they really shouldn't. For the first thing, the laptops aren't really "Pro" laptops. They aren't high powered, don't have highly accurate screens etc. There isn't much about them that would indicate a "Pro" status. Secondly, it's not in line with the naming scheme. It is currently setup as: SURF

Thinking of grabbing Costco $750 Surface Copilot+ laptop — good for everyday personal use?

My two cents. Don't buy into the windows arm ecosystem yet. Part of the reason that computer is so cheap (just a guess) other than it being Costco, is because of the pain of using windows' translation layer. A lot of folks have been leaning away from them since they came out a little bit ago. Qualco

Microsoft is officially cooked

I dont think Microsoft is cooked but dont they make surface laptops? I mean with these prices and specs the Surface line up might be cooked, if not already and these are the old Snapdragons.

Charlie Demerjian says Snapdragon only has approx 4% battery life advantage over Lunar Lake

My Microsoft Surface laptop 7 with 268v only lasts around 4 hours, Lunar Lake is no where close to snapdragon.

Is it feasible to buy a laptop and get 8 hours of battery life while typing documents?

It may sound weird, but maybe get a tablet instead, I have a Lenovo Yoga tab Plus and I can easily work 10 hours on it without problem. I installed Termux so I can run Linux on it and I even run IntelliJ Idea on it and code Java applications. I also have a Microsoft Surface laptop 7 with a 268v and

Advice for replacing MacOS and iPadOS?

The snapdragon compete in terms of battery lifetime but not in competing power (especially gpu power) in the same price range and software compatibility. If I’m looking at the windows arm compatibility pages I can’t run natively most of my apps. Apple can since they have forced the switch. I don’t k

Windows Wrap: Snapdragon X PCs are the latest victims of lazy takes and willfully ignorant tech journalists

I have a snapdragon x elite (surface laptop 7) and it's definitely overhyped, they are great arm devices with great battery life, they run hot when you really need to use them, compared to macbooks that run cool/silent/fanless Snapdragon is a huge improvement but still miles apart from apple silicon

Microsoft reveals major price increases for all Surface PCs as RAM crisis continues

Yikes man. At current prices, other laptops are looking like a better deal. I really like the surface line because their devices were quite innovative, despite being far from the most powerful Specs. I feel that innovation is somewhat dying out within the surface line of PCs. The Microsoft Laptop is

Next-gen 13.8 and 15-inch Surface Laptops should be rebranded as Surface Laptop Pro.

Frankly I can't remember last time seeing a surface laptop "in the wild" and that includes universities. Not that they have Macs, but literally any other of the popular/"regular" laptop brands. The Pro (tablets) are relatively common in mostly any class. However, with the latest years (actually quit
