best laptop for writers: is keyboard quality really that important or am I overthinking it?
My best isn't your best. It's a very individual thing. For me, I go for laptops with replaceable keyboards and other internal parts so I can service them. Those are higher end and more rugged business class machines, not consumer grade units with glued in components. I use those with an external key

Dell desktop computer running Win 11. (Boring) Knock-off Microsoft Natural Elite keyboard. 25 year old and still going strong GE Mouse. Three graphics design 24' monitors. When I get the money from doing editing gigs, I will go to one 52 inch curved monitor. Microsoft Word and Excel. Grammarly Free
