Meze 99 Classics around $300. Obviously a fair bit of subjectivity here, but they're the best $300 closed back headphones I've ever used (as long as you're not looking for an extremely neutral, monitoring headphone).

I have some Meze 99 Classics. They're expensive up front (they were basically my whole birthday one year) but they're user serviceable and great quality, plus they're gorgeous to boot.

Ja det er sgu lidt synd. Der er helt sikkert nogen derude der ville sætte pris på rigtig god lyd, og så er der dem der ikke synes at der er nogen væsentlig forskel. Men jeg har da oplevet flere der, efter at have hørt et par gode headphones, synes at det var en helt ny oplevelse som de gerne vil bet

As a fellow audio phile (Meze 99 Classics currently) I completely understand, even on the floor full cranked so that it's peaking like crazy it's way better than anything else you got, really shows why they are so expensive LOL
