If you find a great deal on Meze 109 pro that might be an amazing endgame for anyone. A touch bright at times but it will give you amazing detail, sexy vocals, and a wide soundstage. I got mine used for 500ish. Although that is steep I think at some point you will be able to find a great deal in the

Yes, I use them too. I would almost say they are perfect for gaming, they sound very spatial. The DT 1990 I have is not that good. I can locate opponents more accurately. I use the ZH 3, which works very well on the PS 5 and harmonizes well with the Meze 109 Pro through the warm sound it produces. T

Perhaps the Meze 105 AER is a good intermediate step. It sounds similar to the Meze 109 Pro. I would at least try it because it should hardly be worse. The Meze 109 could perhaps be the endgame for many, making it the perfect headphone. In comparison, the 109 should have a wider soundstage and more

TBH if you prefer planars and want the ZMF sound, the Caldera might be your best bet. I actually went to CanJam 2025 to try the Caldera, but ended up falling in love with the Atrium instead. Literally before I even knew the name "Atrium", I immediately knew it was my favorite headphones I'd tried th

There is such a thing as diminishing returns after a certain point. These days, midrange DAPs have high enough output power to drive most of the headphones without trouble. So it doesn’t make all that much sense in shelling out $1k over a high-end DAP or DAC/amp setup. Ideally most of the DAC chips

I now use the Meze 109 Pro with my ZH3 DAC. You can connect the TRRS cable that is included to the controller and use only the microphone. I find this a perfect solution. I noticed that opponents are much worse located when the meze microphone, along with the 109 Pro, is only connected to the contro

Is the Meze 109 pro worth it today Time doesn't really have an impact on quality. A well-tuned headphone is a well-tuned headphone. Between the two, the 109 Pros are warmer, and more fun, while the Clear's are considerably more neutral. Neutral enough that I ran them as mixing headphones for a time.

I got the MEZE 109 Pro 2 1/2 years ago. I was listening through my x4700H AVR. It wasn’t until I got the SMSL SU-9/SH-9 combo to the WiiM Ultra before I could hear their full capabilities. I then got the Aryas 6 months ago. The sound is holographic in the Aryas and much larger than the MEZE. Not nec
