F500

I can speak to the Mayflash F500 Elite. It’s been my main shmup stick for about a year. And I have swapped out buttons and stick on occasion. But it’s great out of the box.

They both work, but honestly? Neither. Neither are really meant to be upgraded, and don't have a great reputation. I know prices aren't great in AUS, but the lowest tier that would recommend would be a Mayflash: either the F500 or F700. They're worth the price, so save up if you can.

Mayflash elites come with Sanwa parts. I’ve had my F500 for a few years and it has held up well. Available on Amazon and because it’s Sanwa, you can find lots of aftermarket tweaks.

Mayflash sticks work and they've been working for a long time now. Hell, at this point the F500 has to be one of the longest-lived production sticks out there. It's hard to beat the price for something user-customizable, including removable plexi for art-swaps.

The Mayflash F500 series is probably the best FightStick to get: Good size and weight for a traditional FightStick, no need to upgrade to a different arcade stick unless you want to go smaller like the micro leverless or low profile stuff.
