Coffee Grinder / Setup for Michelin * Restaurant

Best to invest in a commercial grinder. If you plan to just brew batch brews (which is weird way for a Michelin restaurant) best to get single dose grinder like the Mahlkonig SD64 or if the budget is forgiving, an EK43. The Mahlkonig X54 is okay but I believe it is best as an espresso grinder? I kno

Weird buzzing noise coming from the pump [grinder, mahlkönig x64sd]

Thats exactly it…just like x54 or e64 these are also produced in China by HeyCafe as opposed to Germany like a traditional Mahlkonig…its sad to see people have such experience with “Mahlkonig” you would expect a premium from such a brand

Help me choose a coffee grinder!! [$500 budget]

The only advice I can give is stop watching youtube videos lol It’s a never ending battle of buyer’s envy to buyer’s remorse. I’ve owned a Mahlkonig x54, two timemore hand grinders, three 1zpresso handgrinders, a Fellow ode gen2 with both burr sets, and a baratza esp… If I could do it all again and

Given budget, what espresso machine/grinder would you put together? [$4000]

Profitec RIDE or MOVE depending on if you want an e61 group or not. Then I’d get mahlkonig x64 if you like single dosing or x54 if you want a hopper.

IMS precision basket w/ light roast — dialing in is hard

Yep, I actually just got a light roast ethiopia. Perhaps adjust the grinding in smaller increments. Or, keep the grind the same, but reduce the quantity in the basket (e.g 16g). For my coffee, I noticed it’s fairly ok with this receipe: 16g in, 32-33g out, 23-34s. I’m using a 16g basket and the grin

Should I buy Mahlkonig X64 SD or wait [nobudget]

If retention is your main deal breaker with the eureka you should wait and make space for the mazzer philos. While the mahlkonig is a beautiful machine the philos is engineered for zero retention single dosing and offer superior grind clarity, especially if you like lighter roasts. The x54 is more o

Grind By Weight Users (at home)

Mahlkonig 'made' the x54, that is actually a rebranded (and recased (and 2X the cost of a) HeyCafe. Same thing with the X64SD.So naturally, when they shown the all new X64WS the first thing i did was check if HeyCafe had something similar. After comparing specs, that would be the 'buddy'. I have an

Noobie needs help

I live in Melbourne Australia, where we typically have very high quality coffee. I have a gaggia and just got a mahlkonig x54 grinder. I just finished drinking my coffee then whilst thinking how bloody good it is that I can have this high quality coffee at home.

Soon-to-be La Marzocco Club Member

I came from several other machines with my last being the Rocket Appartmento. I got the Micra because space was a huge factor living in NYC. I already had grinders, Niche Zero and a Mahlkonig x54 - combined the grinder set up was good. But I’m itching for a new one either a Mahlkonig E64 or a Mazzer

Best home espresso machine and grinder

Try r/espresso because that one is more focused on home espresso. I saw your comment about $2k being the outside of your budget. I’m very happy with the profitec go which is just around $1,200 usd now, but it’s a single boiler, so you need to understand the limitations of different boiler types like
