Mahlkonig x64 sd is not a good grinder

I wouldnt say its the Buddy but it isnt made by Mahlkönig in Germany it is made by HeyCafe in China just like X54 and X64 SD

I have this machine and am currently saving to get the Mahlkönig X64 SD. It has mostly very positive reviews and I want a single dose grinder and have chosen this one after a long research. Also like the look.

I know you said 700 dollars...but...check out the Femobrook A68. It's 100 bucks more, but it's a grinder that will produce very very tasty espresso and solidly good filter too. Also, avoid the Mahlkoenig X64 SD, watch some of the reviews about it. It was a swing and a miss by Mahlkoenig.

I also have a BDB. My Mahlkonig x64 SD arrives Wednesday. It’s a single dose flat burr in your price range. Some in this sub have complained about having to make adjustments when it’s new, but the negative comments seemed overblown.

If your looking to upgrade from that machine, and your main drink truly is the espresso, I’d look into grinders first, and then use the remaining budget on the coffee machine.Since it seems, you only want to drink one coffee in the morning, I could recommend a single dose grinder.
