Brick red lipstick lovers, what’s your holy grail?
MAC Chili or Marrakesh (or their similarly named sisters in different lines from MAC)! Marrakesh is more brown, and chili is more red. Both gorgeous.

UK alternative for Violette Bisou Balm?
Perhaps Maybelline Ultimatte in More Taupe or More Rust? The matte formula is completely different, but I used to love the Ultimattes and I wear Mon Cheri now! Edit: I just saw they’re discontinued </3 Can you get MAC? Try MAC in Marrakesh or look at their reds

On a quest for the same color - Too Faced Melted Matte Gingerbread
If this is the Gingerbread Man shade (which I believe it would be, since it's more orange-red than the other one), Temptaliahas your back. It looks like the Marrakesh and adjacent shades at MAC are the closest dupes. I have several and can confirm that they visually look very similar to me.

mac lip recommendations for a fair neutral olive?
My holy grails (fair, neutral to cool, desaturated): Powder Kiss lipsticks in Be My Bridesmaid, Girls Weekend and Taken. Also love Brickthrough for a muted red look. That shade definitely reads as a muted burnt terracotta or rusty red with warm brown undertones rather than a bright orange.
