Velvet Teddy

Swatched on bare NC15 skin in indirect natural light. I wanted to compare my pre and post-reformulation Mac lipsticks, especially as I redeemed my points at the end of last year for some minis to make this comparison. In each pair, the new formula is on top, the old formula is on the bottom. I'd say

That lipstick is too dark for your complexion. Also, it looks very matte - which reads flat. There are tons of lipsticks shades that are not pink or red. Try a nude shade -but go with something with more luster. You can try Velvet Teddy or Blankety by MAC. They both look good on lighter complexions.

Saammme! Mac's velvet teddy looks fully orange on my lips, but less so on my cheeks and nose - perfect as a blonzer for me.

Just to follow up, Ulta didn’t have thanks it’s MAC but they had Velvet Teddy. In person it’s very pretty. On it looks like blush not bronzer and has a warm rosy look like the pics on Mac’s site.
