Swatched on bare NC15 skin in indirect natural light. I wanted to compare my pre and post-reformulation Mac lipsticks, especially as I redeemed my points at the end of last year for some minis to make this comparison. In each pair, the new formula is on top, the old formula is on the bottom. I'd say

That lipstick is too dark for your complexion. Also, it looks very matte - which reads flat. There are tons of lipsticks shades that are not pink or red. Try a nude shade -but go with something with more luster. You can try Velvet Teddy or Blankety by MAC. They both look good on lighter complexions.

Saammme! Mac's velvet teddy looks fully orange on my lips, but less so on my cheeks and nose - perfect as a blonzer for me.

MAC Velvet Teddy has always looked perfect when sheered out on my desaturated-yellow skin.

i went into vicroads looking ORANGE for my picture and i look white as a ghost. i was also wearing velvet teddy from mac and my friend told me she liked my red lipstick in the picture. idk what they do to those pictures but its bad
