Looking for a premium wireless mouse for my partner (Linux user, tinkerer, coder, FPS gamer)
Logitech G502 X Lightspeed The Logitech G502 line is easily one of the best there is. I currently a white and black G502 X Plus and it'll take a lot for me to move to something else. While gaming focused it's great for general purpose use as well. It can work with Linux but there's no way to setup t

I love this OS besides 1 thing
I'm using a Logitech g502x plus with kde and solaar on a different arch-based distro and I am seeing no issues. Solaar has a known issue with the mouse going slow especially with higher polling rates, and there is a tooltip next to its dpi setting telling you how to fix it. Once I get back on my com

Goodbye to a real one o7 (any recs?)
I personally got new G502X Plus on auction for 70€, cut the foil a little which protects plastic from scratches under buttons to not touch mousepad, applied 10g weight to it(you can find 15g weights on AliExpress) and nice stickers, you can see the outcome on my post in this sub, remember to use OMM

Durable alternatives to the Basilisk V2?
i had the same button failure on v2 after 2 years. v3 uses optical switches which last longer but the side buttons still use mechanical ones. for driver-less programming check Logitech G502 X plus - onboard memory saves macros to mouse itself. also Corsair Darkstar has 15 programmable buttons and wo

Why does the Naga Pro V2 require the synapse app to be running to use simple keybinds like Scroll up/down and cycle apps?
i feel you on this. the move to software-dependent keybinds is annoying when older models had it onboard. razer likely did it to push synapse features and data collection, but yeah it feels backwards. if you want full onboard control without background apps, the Logitech G502 X Plus saves profiles i

Basilisk V3 Pro 35K - Windows Dynamic Lighting
I bought the G502X Plus. The scroll wheel is loud but besides that I’m happy. Dynamic Lighting does work but I actually just set a fixed value for RGB in Logitechs software and because Logitech saves that on the onboard memory (unlike Razer…) I now have no software running at all, not even Dynamic L

Went back to the G502
I was going to get a Razer Basilisk V3 because every man and his dog was recommending it and it fit the form factor I like... but couldn't bring myself to put razer software on my PC. This led to me going from a G502 Hero to a G502 x Plus and I couldn't be happier so far. It feels even better than m

Recommendations similar to Basilisk Ultimate but more buttons? Avoiding Razer
The G502 X Plus might be your sweet spot - similar ergonomics to the Basilisk but with more programmable buttons scattered around. I've been using one for about 8 months now and the build quality feels way more solid than any Razer I've owned. Logitech's software is also less of a nightmare to deal
