Giving the A50X a test run. Debating between these and the Nova Pros.
Here’s my opinion as a console user… I just returned my A50 headset to Best Buy and swapped to the A50x. If there's any sound difference between the 2 due to the bit rate - it's very minor imo (but I have 58 year old ears with a lot of concert time on them). I just wanted the ability to have chatmix

Never buying razer
IMO for wireless your back under the gaming brands a bit. Steelseries IMO is still top dog (Artics Pro Wireless) Audeze Maxwell (Audiophile Quality for gamers) Astros a50 (I have before Logitech but haven’t heard bad things and software is much much better than old Astro stuff) Hyper X, I had but I

Elites are....elite!
You are not correct. You can’t connect with the companion app with the Pros and use all the EQ, mic settings etc. The sound is not on the same level. I have both. I also have the Maxwell and Logitech G-astro A50 McLaren.

Linux compatible earbuds
I have never bought or tried any of the more expensive gaming headsets from SteelSeries, HyperX and so on as I generally hover around the $16 ~ $35 USD price range for headsets with cheap brands like Redragon, Fantech, Onikuma and so on. Tri-mode headsets rock. I do rock a Logitech Astro A50 Gen 5 a

Help me pick the best of the sub 200 bunch pls :)
The Logitech a20x is basically the a50 without the graphene drivers. Battery is good, good build, good price and the mic is almost as good as the a50 gen 5. For the price it’s an excellent headset. Has app control too and a little isb hub for 2 connections. Good sound and can tweak EQ in the app. Co

Help finding PC Gaming Headset with high quality audio and mic
Astro A50 gen 5. While it has an arm mic it is actually really useful when you need to quickly mute comms. It is also super comfy and its semi open design gives a nice balanced sound. Runs off Logitech software which is generally fuss free.

Wireless headset recommendations? This is what is available at my local store.
Astro a50, and I don’t think it’s even close. Most advanced and reliable one I’ve ever used. The only problem that thy had - software is gone, after they went under Logitech

3rd Set of A50
Oh yea makes sense, upgrade from my Gen 2 A50 that wouldnt charger the headset on the base station and the headset would have connections issue due to it running on the same 5ghz channel that my router was on (channel 140) so I always had to change my router channels some times but overall the heads

My opinion on the Atro A50 X
I own both concurrently and can give you my 2c You’re mixing up a workflow change with an actual audio downgrade. Gen 4 didn’t give you “real” surround everywhere — it matrixed lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 over Toslink and virtualised it in the base station. Convenient, yes. Higher fidelity, no. It added
