The 285H is still pretty efficient. I can easily get a days worth of real world use out of my LG Gram Pro 17". And I would recommend an LG Gram over anything to basically anyone. Especially a student who will be carrying it around constantly. Being sub 3lbs with a big bright screen is the best. Side

Unfortunately this is an issue with these Grams, yes. But to be fair I've had the same problem over the years with other brands of laptops & PC motherboards - the drivers available often are: Not complete Wrong version/cause a functional issue and have to be rolled back In the case of my Gram 17 Pro

I'm not defending the poor thermal paste application you are identifying, but I've had 3 LG Gram 17" models so far (2021 and 2024) and I'm very happy with the performance. I bought it for the big screen and light weight. Any thickening of heat pipes, additional fans, heavier heatsinks, etc would add

LG Gram Pro 17 2025 with Intel Core Ultra9 285H and nVidia RTX 5050 has power adapter with only 100W power capacity. So, it can not be superhot.I have no info about 2025 but LG Gram Pro 17 2024 with Intel Core Ultra 7 155H withOUT external GPU (Intel only) has power adapter with only 60W power capac

I just bought a 2025 LG Gram Pro 17 in the max spec option in late December 2025. It has the Ultra 9, 5050, 32GB RAM, and 2TB of storage. It is pretty perfect, just the fingerprints are annoying. I briefly considered returning it and buying a 2026 when they said the Aerominium would show less finger

What year and configuration do you have? I need to replace my 2020 and loved it. But the 2024 lg gram 17 pro fan noise was too much for me. I'm wondering if the 2025 fan noise has improved.

I just posted this: https://www.reddit.com/r/LGgram/comments/1l6r3ow/lg_gram_pro_17_2025_beyond_insulting_thermal/ How did you actually measure "sustained power" and what do you actually mean by that, given that the power limits are TL1=45W and TL2=64W (encforced via bios)? You guys who add (thick) therma

Yes, once you access the advanced bios settings (press ctrl+alt+shift+f7). You can also change the thermal throttling limits as well as reduce the power limits. You cannot increase the power limits though (45W and 64W for TL1 and TL2), which is what I wanted; the advanced bios settings allows settin

I logged using HWINFO64 the cinebench run of 11 minutes (score 16526), as well as a single pass (score 18436), and another one immediately after (score 17007).
