Is anyone else having to hold off laptop purchases?
Not really. So they definitely more expensive but so what? Business needs to continue. If we can’t afford to pay a bit more for nice laptops, we have bigger things to worry about. I have standardized on a specific family of models like the Lenovo X1 and X9 series and our spec is a minimum of 1TB SSD

Behold the Tower of Think
I really don't dig glossy screens, so the P14s wins on that front for having a 120Hz OLED AND a matte finish, but they all have different uses and purposes. The P14s is my "company-issued" daily driver, and it's a GREAT little machine. I've never managed to get it to slow down once no matter how muc

What are things you wish Thinkpads would improve on?
Here how I see it after 8 years of lenovos : I wish the thinkpads had the ideapad/slim/yoga multimedia and style and wish the reverse was more reliable. Specifically :I own the t1g gen 8 (tandem oled). It could use more speakers. Looking at the x1c 14, t14s gen 7 Intel, they could use the tandem on

Finally got ‘em! Thinkpad X9 ‘15
Hello, Well, you can always purchase a ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition or a ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition if you want a premium laptop with the TrackPoint and the great keyboard layout. I've used the X9 15 for about 8 months now, and wrote a ~6,000 word review of the experience. The

LG Gram Pro 17" 2025 - beyond insulting thermal paste application, 80% of the die was naked; awful thermal design too, plenty of room for bigger heatpipe and heatsink. This is aswful engineering from LG. This laptop could have used much higher power limits.
My wife has the Lenovo X9 with an Core Ultra 7 258V CPU. It's a really well built machine, solid construction (feels like you can sit on it and nothing will break). The 258V is the low voltage version of the 255H, it has slightly lower performance but never throttles nor heats up because it's a 28W

Budget $2,500 - need functional, durable laptop, gaming not a priority
Np and yup, that's the X9 15, but I suggest you also price one out on Lenovo's site as they will have some Black Friday coupons for additional savings, and you can compare the specs between different models to help decide easier. Best Buy's site is atrocious for that. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is the p

asus rog zephyrus, asus zenbook serisi, asus proart serisi, msi prestige, lenovo thinkpad. rog zephyrus'un hoparlörleri mükemmel. zephyrus, zenbook, proart'ın üçü de "oled" ekranla ve kaliteli metal kasayla geliyor. msi prestige metal kasayla geliyor ancak ekran ve hoparlör detayını bilmiyorum. thin

First few hours with new X9 15p + Initial Linux Compatibility Report
If you are comfortable with, and enjoy using MacOS, and don't plan to game on it, I'd just recommend the MacBook Pro with M5 Pro, you can get away with having a little less memory on Mac, I think 48GB is cheaper than 64GB in the X9 15p. The reason I got it for cheap was a mix of student site, and th

New Dell XPS 14 (2026) vs HP Elitebook Ultra 14
I cosign the Asus Expertbook Ultra. Within the Asus brand, the Zenbook S14 2026 is a fine enough computer if the Expertbook isn't available/affordable (2.8lbs vs 2.2) Within your choices, why not custom build the Elitebook Ultra with the X9 388 processor to have the GPU performance? (on the gen 3 pr
