If that's a C grade, the A grade should come signed by the Lenovo CEO! That thing is mint! It should even smell like new! I miss my old X280. It's an amazing machine. Very light. Be aware that the FHD uses a different cable than the HD display. I totally recommend a repaste. I also suggest PTM7950.

This is an example of why I fully advocate for everyone to have a second system running Linux for any important stuff they do. Redundancy is important anyway, but with OS-breaking bugs like this becoming more frequent with Windows Updates, you really need a second system with an OS which isn't Windo

With T480, you will need to carefully review offers - the external battery is available in three sizes (24/48/72Wh) , and only the largest option has a battery life advantage. Also, the dual batteries are a budget liability these days as you have to factor in replacement costs for two batteries (aro

What used to be Txxp and then W is now P. Which now you can buy in a lighter more integrated variant as Pxxs which is basically a T. Full circle if you will. If you go with a T you won't be wrong. The AMD T's if you're buying used are nice (4000 series chips and up). My X's are nice. But anything X1

"Çok ucuz" kişiden kişiye değişir Lenovo Thinkpad T480S, X280 falan iyidir düzgün fiyata bulabilirsen. Uzun ömürlü, sağlam, kolay ve ucuz tamir edilebilirler ondan üzmez. Sadece dediğin basit işleri yapacaksan T43 falan bile yeter o ayrı :D

Same wagon here. I have moved from a X230 then to a X260 and since many years now I am on a X13 gen 1 as my daily driver and it has already started showing its age. Anyways, I miss the sturdiness of X260 it was really top and the 12" screen size was right on the sweet spot. Also from a keyboard stan

Hi Jmike, I just checked the Linux firmwware site for the X280 ( https://fwupd.org/lvfs/devices/com.lenovo.ThinkPadN20TF.firmware ) and version 20 is the latest for it, sorry. So if you want version 23, you would have to use Wiindows, like me. But version 20 is okay also and safe enough. Don't worry

I just bought a second-hand X280 2 years ago, first Thinkpad. Those are built with a metal case (not all thinkpads are like that). Then, a month ago, I got a T14 Gen 1 with a Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U, and my son, 13 y.o got himself an X280 also. I bought an L590 for my older son who needed it for his cyber

Yes, i was also working on HP and Dell as well as Thinkpad. Tbh all are okey for work. If one likes the work the hardware is secondary. But i can see the differences too. My 17 years old Lenovo G550 is waaaay nicer build than my 13 years old Dell which got sticky plastic syndrom, even if it is faste

Generally speaking Intel 8th generation (Thinkpad T480, E480, L480, and similar 15-inch models, as well as X280 if you were interested in smaller) is the modern baseline. It's coincidentally the Windows 11 system requirements, but I'd say quad/16gb/256gb SSD are the minimum viable computer today and
