As a student, you might as well come back to MacBook - brand-new Neo is 850 CAD with education discount, or you should be able to find older M chip Air models under 1000 CAD second hand. You get Microsoft Office IIRC, good battery life, good bright screen (some ThinkPads model configs still somewhat

Nano are rare and overpriced, at least here in europe. You can go for a "recent" X13 for the small form factor, or even X1 Carbon, it's pricey but if you're considering Framework 13 pro ...If you have budget and don't mind waiting T14 gen 7 intel looks very promising with everything replaceable, pant

What do you mean by repairable? For several years now thinkpads have soldered ram, type c connectors that are so bad, Lenovo had to extremely over engineer in one of the latest models in hopes it won’t lose contact. Anyway, x13 series is the portable one. I have x13 gen 2, I like it. I’ve seen some

Sooo. I got them all quite cheap. P1 Gen 1 for 100,-, X1 Yoga Gen 5 for 150, X1 Yoga Gen 6 for 200,- and the 2 X13 Gen 3 Yogas for 350,- each (Euros).. The X1 Gen 6 is an upgrade to the Gen 5 (16:10 is more comfortable). Bought them for wifey. I am using the X13s. I bought 2 because the 2nd one was

a lower level? I respect macbooks and been a serious apple user 2008-2023 with all new products throughout 15 ys, but there's NO macbook that is like my x13 lenovo: upgradable ssd - I have 2 gb no problem, LTE, 7 ports, sensitive display with a pen support (pen built-in), win hello (oh my love), bat

Yeah, L14 should be good, Intel Gen 1 is aproximately the same performance as T480 so I would not consider it if nor cheaper but the AMD (ryzen 5 and 7) variants on Gen 1 and 2 are very good options. I would not consider L13 since as I know it has soldered RAM (8GB often) - X13 is better

not worth it. Personally I would not upgrade in just 2 gens, that's a waste. Thinkpads are made to be used for way longer than that, their parts are easily replaceable. Just order new battery for like $80 and replace it, you can do it yourself. Cheaper than buying a brand new laptop. A new 54.7wH ba

Cheapest capable ThinkPad with a guaranteed high quality screen, X13 G1 AMD. FHD panel at least 300nit 72% NTSC, and color accurate. AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 4000 series, far more capable than equivalent Intel 8th/10th Gen, particularly graphics. Full W11 support. X13 G2 AMD, taller 1920x1200 16:10 display,

My thinkpad x13 yoga gen 1 has this. I don't use it very often, but it's nice to have.
