Why is Lenovo so obsessed with thinness and weight?

It is simple: Lenovo sells to big businesses, large companies that give their employees laptops. Ask yourself: What are their needs? Common employees: They just need an office PC for their work everyday, that they can take home or transport from desk to desk. Do their need ultra thinness or extremel...

70000DA Budget- MacBook Air 2019 Thoughts?

Definitely not worth it, you'll find better value getting something else maybe a ThinkPad (X1 or T14) or an EliteBook/Lattitude preferably a ryzen (you can get a 4650u for around 6.5 mill max since they might be more efficient) or any business class laptop. Laptops are crazy expensive especially her...

Laptop suggestions for CE?

What do you consider decent battery life? I think the Dell XPS 15 or ThinkPad X1 Extreme could be a fit. Not quite the amount of VRAM you are looking for but I'm not sure why you are looking specifically at VRAM. ThinkPad P1 series has some GPUs with 8GB of VRAM if you really need.

Why isn't there much love for the Thinkpad T16? Too big?

I used to swear by larger laptops until I sized way down from a W540 to an X13 Gen 3. I don't miss the number pad, certainly not more than I enjoy my laptop weighing barely over 2 pounds. And, crucially, the functionality between Lenovo's 12/13" and 14-16" laptops is largely the same, with the excep...

P14s Gen 5(intel), IBM R52, X1 Carbon Gen 10

I've been part of the...Cult for a while now. I love using the TrackPoint and I like the way they look, and the fact that they can run almost any OS. I got a p14s gen 5 Intel variant about a year ago. Shortly after I bought a R52, which was dated inside from before IBM no longer owned ThinkPad. It h...

Thinkpad T15g - why is cooling so bad?

Most ThinkPads aren't designed by the same people who design the other Lenovo devices, and it's very obvious the one who designs Legions (as well as the E series and the P14s) aren't even playing in the same universe thermally. They don't share parts, realistically they probably should but they don'...

X1 Carbon G9 I7 or X1E Gen 2 I7

I think the X1E is a solid choice. More keyboard travel. The CPU is more powerful than the X1C9's, the dGPU is nice if you have use for it and WON'T shorten battery life if you don't use it. It'll accept USB-C charging from chargers offering at least 60/65W up to the (then) USB-C maximum of 100W. No...

Shocking redesign: ThinkPad laptop without a TrackPoint! Lenovo ThinkPad X9 leaks out

E series probably not. X1 (and P1) are unarguably looking way more aesthetically pleasing (AKA attractive) than any existing MacBook out there. With equally good or better displays, with superior port selection and keyboards, with better overall usability (starting with macOS being unable to run 4+ ...
