What’s all the hyper with the X1 Carbons
X1C is a carbon fiber composite, most others are an aluminum alloy + plastic. So you get a far sturdier chassis with a lower weight, making them ridiculously durable for their size. Lenovo has had a build partnership with Intel for this model forever so they get specifically engineered, making their

Lenovo X1 Carbon is the best laptop to ever exist
Great keyboard, great display, good speakers, thin and light, supports all ports, exceptional build quality which makes it super durable, good battery life, great design and its just an overall incredible machine to use. Unlike HP or other brands with similar specs idk why but the x1 carbon is incre

ThinkPad better than Latitude or EliteBook?
Linux compatibility? Equal on all 3 generally. Hinges that break less? Equal on all 3. Easier to service? Lenovo wins this. Easy to find HMM for almost every business model, while HP and Dell has them, much harder to find. Lighter weight? Thinner? Depends on the exact models you're comparing. X1C vs

Which one would you choose and why? MacBook Pro 14 vs Thinkpad X1 Carbon
MacBook user here testing a thinkpad x1 carbon for work. I love the screen on the x1 but the battery life is terrible. Opening a few apps in the background will make it very warm. Also seems to charge a bit slower than my MacBook. I do love how light it is vs my MacBook though. Seriously though, I t

After seeing the design changes to newer ThinkPads, I have decided to convert over to the dark side. It was nice knowing you ThinkPad fam!
That's why I'm happy with my x1 carbon gen 10. It's lighter than most laptops on the market, has a really good screen, decent port selection, Linux support, good battery life (MacBook battery life is unbeatable though), and more easily repairable than a MacBook. I paid macbook air money for it thoug

Upgraded the screen on my T14 G5 AMD from a 45% NTSC to a 100% sRGB panel. Wow.
I bought my T14 G5 AMD for a great price during the black friday sale, but it came with the lousy 45% NTSC screen. It's not terrible and thought I could live with it, but very quickly found the poor colour gamut an issue for work and aesthetics. So I researched compatible panels and ended up going w

MacBook Pro for Linux Users - we might have an answer
I'm happy with the Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 13, and it's been the closest I've ever come to a MBP experience on linux. I have the Aurora Edition with an Intel Ultra 268v. It's not aluminium unibody, and the speakers are pants. But great batter life, excellent monitor, excellent feeling hardware, nice ke

What are things you wish Thinkpads would improve on?
Here how I see it after 8 years of lenovos : I wish the thinkpads had the ideapad/slim/yoga multimedia and style and wish the reverse was more reliable. Specifically :I own the t1g gen 8 (tandem oled). It could use more speakers. Looking at the x1c 14, t14s gen 7 Intel, they could use the tandem on

X9 vs X1 Carbon - Pricing
I have a older X1 Carbon and a new Yoga Pro 9i with Intel 285H, NVIDIA 5070, brilliant 4k monitor, 64 MB Ram. I absolutely love it. BUT I also ordered the new X1 Carbon Gen 14 2 weeks ago for the following reasons: - it's really super light and my number 1 travel Notebook - it has the best keyboard

Bought an old MacBook Pro 14,1
There is the ThinkPad X1 series, which has a very powerful screen in terms of resolution and nits. X1 Carbon Gen 8 and Up. MacBook's screen is very good, but when it comes to running Linux, (it will work), but not very well. I appreciate the efforts of those who find ways to run it on a MacBook. ♥️
