T1G & P1 Gen 8 - What is the best Display option ? (Bad Screens,..)

This panel should be good. It is a non touch panel so no problem of visible extra layer (for instance Lenovo OLED 4k touch panels have an add-on touch layer visible on bright images/videos). The down sides are : only 60hz contrast not so good (normal as it is an IPS) HDR contents will be not really

Can I upgrade the screen on my P16s Gen 4 AMD

On the P14s, a 1200p display is acceptable, but on a 16-inch laptop, 1200p is simply not enough. At the very least, Lenovo should have offered the P16s with a 1600p display, similar to the one available on the P1 and P16 (IPS, 500 nits, 165 Hz). In the end, I went with the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 (Intel

Oled

I'm on my second replacement (third overall display) for my p16s gen 4 and and in some brightness levels there's really horrible uniformity issues. Like you mentioned, it's only at some brightness levels, which makes it very confusing lol! Like I'll have the brightness at 50%, looks perfect. I move

14" 2.8K OLED VS 14" 2.8K IPS

For some this is not really a choice, for some OLEDs are just painful to use after a short while: https://old.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/1l80oc0/p16s_gen_3_with_oled_panel_eye_strain_headache/ Lenovo offering mainly 1920x1200 IPS or higher-dpi with flickering OLEDs is a "we don't care" attitude.

Thinkpad p1 gen 8 - display issues

Wow, the same non-uniformity (two patches) appear in so many gray intensities, pointing towards panel QC issues or damage to panels after production. Shouldn't be sent to customers. The panels are supposed to be calibrated at pixel level during production for panel uniformity. Thanks for warning us..

Recommendation for ThinkPad with 2 NVMe + 780M iGPU

E series is not terrible, but the AMD models are often held back by low quality display options. They're also the entry level ThinkPads, so the materials won't be as nice as what you'd find in a L, T, or P series laptop. But most E16s have two M.2 slots for SSDs, while I don't think any L16, T16, or

Any review on Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 (14” AMD)?

It is strange. Display section in specs are only on the US product page. On French, UK and Ferman, this specific section is not displayed (which is strange). If we look on the full specs page (https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_P14s_Gen_6_AMD?tab=spec), there is no mention about restrict

P16 Gen3 Workstation - Anybody excited? Expected date of release?

I'm having trouble finding a laptop that meets my needs (powerful enough to run even at less than 100% with a ThinkPad USB-C Dock Gen 2 that provides 100W, has a good screen, decent battery life, ideally memory upgrade options, and is built to last four years). I was interested in the P16s Gen4 with

Lenovo P1 Gen 8 pictures

Nice to have know CPUs type, weight and TDP of the next gen. About AMDs P14s G6 / P16s G4, I think TDP is wrong. With their one fan cooling solution, the TDP is about 36W : https://www.notebookcheck.net/Most-powerful-AMD-14-inch-ThinkPad-with-Ryzen-AI-9-HX-Lenovo-ThinkPad-P14s-Gen-6-AMD-laptop-revie

P16s Intel+AMD / P16v gen 3 first impression

Thank you for your message. I did not buy Thinkbook 16p yet. While having a dGPU, Thinkbook 16p is not more expensive in my country (around 2k€ with Intel 275HX, IPS 3.2k, PCIe5 slots) than P16s and P16v. And it has : a Magic Bay connector. Their external Dual Screen would be nice if they sell it on
