Laptop reccomendation
The Lenovo Thinkpad P14S Gen 5 is currently on sale on Lenovo's website for £700 with 32GB of RAM. The radeon 780M integrated graphics will wrok well enough for the light CAD work, and it's got excellent built quality with a bright and accurate IPS screen. What is generally agreed upon to be the "best" ThinkPad?
There is no absolute the BEST unless you must consider it as a collection instead of a tool. Unless you buy it as a collection. You buy for what it capable for. like you buy a Ford F150 bc it would be a great tool to get rid of heavy snow in the winter. Unfder such terms, I think the BEST machine fr

Looking for a sturdy, yet lightweight workhorse for years to come
That's an awesome specs! For me, my P14s runs nice and cool. The aluminum chassis feels premium in hand, very sturdy. The screen is actually 14.5 inches so I got a tiny bit more screen real estate :)) I tested out the P14s Gen 5 AMD in the store and the chassis, although plastic, is very solid and s

Portable laptop for business
Recommended New Machine: P14s Gen5 AMD You get replaceable RAM, AMD processor for better battery life, and you are better off picking the 1920x1200 screen because the 1800p OLED will decrease your battery life. Recommend Outlet Pick: T14 Gen 5 AMD You get replaceable RAM & AMD processor for better b

Is OLED Really That Problematic?
Main issue with OLED, the power draw. Great colours and contrast with a trade off. Using it on a P14S Gen5 AMD. Since I love charging the battery till 80% all the time, I only get a good 3 hours of use 🤐. With Linux and a good power utility, it stretched to 3.5 hours. 5 hours+ if charged till 100%.

Laptop suggestions for Computer engineer
Could get yourself a Thinkpad P14s Gen5 or P16s Gen3. They are around <$2000 and come with Ultra 7 processors and an Nvidia 500 ADA generation 4gb gpu. This gpu should be enough for CAD software though I don't know how it performs for video production and photo editing. Also, these models come with
