How I doubled the P14s Gen 5 AMD horrendous battery life...

He used Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Notepad, and deleted System32. It was finally achieved through deleting System32. I did it and it worked really well. He did it and it worked really well to improve battery life of the P14s Gen5. Other users also reported doing the same with great results. De

Outlet Experience

My current P14s Gen 5 AMD is from the outlet. Was listed as certified refurbished. If it wasn't for the genetic box and the refurbished sticker at the bottom, I would say the laptop was totally new. Not a single sign of use. Even the new laptop smell. Only 1 battery cycle. A friend also bought a Len

T14 G5 AMD battery adventure - so far so... bad

Well 20 to 80% is not great because you can have the battery at 30% and won't attempt a charge until it gets below 20%. The Lenovo default is 75 to 80% and I actually use it at 80 to 85% and I always use the laptop plugged in, but have it at 85% in case a power outage (very frequent where I live). A

P14s Gen 5

I had some weird battery and power management issues with my P14s Gen5 (AMD) that I got in November. Not as drastic as yours but I fixed it before it got to that point.I did the following, this is not a scientific process but something fixed it:-stopped using the Lenovo charger and bought a 100W PD A

ThinkPad Omarchy battery life

I've had the same problem as well but then then I went in to research what is happening and found out that Omarchy doesn't really cover a lot of hardware combinations well when it comes to power management. Anyway, I liked what DHH did with this and still decided to use it with some heavy power mana

Portable laptop for business

Recommended New Machine: P14s Gen5 AMD You get replaceable RAM, AMD processor for better battery life, and you are better off picking the 1920x1200 screen because the 1800p OLED will decrease your battery life. Recommend Outlet Pick: T14 Gen 5 AMD You get replaceable RAM & AMD processor for better b

Thinkpad T14

Thinkpad P14s gen5 intel:+ powerful+ upgradability+ good cooling (2 fans)+ metal body (good for cooling)- high power consumption = bigger and heavier battery- heavy charger (more than 100W)- i read that fan spinning is noticable (which is expected I wold say)So powerful workstation with all pros and

Thinkpad P14s Gen 5 is the best option for me?

Cannot confirm any "zoom issue" with the T14s Gen4 AMD. And there's over 100 of them that went through my hands. Have one myself (with the 2.8k OLED) and it's been great. Agree that the 2.8k OLED screen has perfect resolution for the size. Set at 200% scaling, users are very happy and there's very v

Is OLED Really That Problematic?

Main issue with OLED, the power draw. Great colours and contrast with a trade off. Using it on a P14S Gen5 AMD. Since I love charging the battery till 80% all the time, I only get a good 3 hours of use 🤐. With Linux and a good power utility, it stretched to 3.5 hours. 5 hours+ if charged till 100%.
