Laptop 13 Pro memory speed limits - what we know
The reason is the insufficient motherboard performance of the Framework 13 Pro (and the TP T14 G7). To fully utilize the speeds of LPDDR5X-9600/8533, a motherboard with HDI (high-density interconnect) technology is required, but the motherboards in the Framework 13 Pro and TP T14 G7 do not meet that

ThinkPad or Legion?
I had a legion with your specs and switched to ThinkPad P1 gen 7. After using both, found the ThinkPad was more durable, had better battery life and didn’t weigh so much. Also the ThinkPad worked better with a docking station (Lenovo said there are no docking stations compatible with Legion).

Should I get a Macbook Neo or a used thinkpad?
I have both a P1 Gen 7 and a MacBook Pro and as much as I love the P1 Gen 7, it sounds like a jet engine half the time, and the battery dies in about two hours. The MacBook Pro is silent and lasts all day and you just can't ignore that. I really hate it because I don't love Apple. I really love my T

EU/IT Linux Laptop, what to buy?
Skip all the hype brands. Durable laptops with good Linux support are made by only 3 companies: Dell, Lenovo and HP. Discard all other options. Imo the absolute best laptop you can buy right now is the Dell Pro Max 16 Premium. See this video. Skip the GPU as always unless you really need it. Worthy

New Thinkpad Design Ugly
So, you don't like the look of the P16 - big deal, it is not the only model they have. The ThinkPad P1 Gen 7, the successor to your ThinkPad P1 Gen 2, has a very different aesthetic from the P16. Also, engineering wise, the P16 is VERY traditional in the way it is constructed. Under the hood, it is

Architects, what computers or laptops do you personally use for working at home and while travelling?
Archicad user here....small residential office, and I do not do high end renders, I work within Archicad's rendering capabilities to share with clients and builders. I do develop detailed models of my projects with many design options, so my models will get kind of large, but not out of control. I h

Explain it Peter
Their business tech support is still top notch though. My mom was camping and they sent a tech out to her holiday trailer 90 minutes away from the depot three times with parts for her photography business laptop at no extra cost. You pay that $200 for the top tier 4 year on site business warranty an

Should i get a thinkpad p1 gen 6
Screw the MacBook, go for the ThinkPad. MacOS updates are always a f*cking mess with any 3rd party tools/apps - especially Python (brew-installed) versions. I've always been biased against Apple products since they make repairs unnecessarily difficult and costly. Steve Jobs was a hacker and a modder

P1 Gen 8 owner. Wifi issues. Should I upgrade?
Wifi is almost always a driver thing or a network thing. Wifi cards are pretty reliable from a hardware perspective. The last wifi driver for P1 Gen 8 was back in November. I would uninstall your wireless driver and reinstall the lenovo driver in case windows update has served you a crappy generic d
