The P1 gen7 had serious issues with the new sensel haptic touchpad (https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/s/6BwGqVATHs) rendering it unusable. It was basically a hardware design issue. That was the only reason I didn’t buy it. Does it happen with the Gen8 as well?

search this sub .. issues with wifi, issues with the touchpad, etc. Here is one thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/comments/1eair32/thinkpad_p1_gen7_sleep_and_touchpad_issues/ After a lot of reading reports like this, I decided to just save my self the hassle, not risk ruining my productivity, and ju

Hi, it's a very interesting case. You've been using large and heavy machines and are considering large machines so I assume you don't mind their size and weight. Razer Blade 16 are quite thick and heavy, especially the 2024 version that I've tried. I also own a Razer Blade 15 2023, which is much lig

Have you actually looked into LPCAMM2 memory? That stuff ins pure unobtainium. Apart from one lone Thinkpad (P1 Gen7) it hasn't been adopted by the industry so far, and there's zero aftermarket availabilty. Even Lenovo won't sell you modules to upgrade as they don't have any. It's been a year since

P1 Gen7 would come closest in meeting your requirements. Has two drive slots, upgradeable RAM (theoretically at least, because the LPCAMM2 modules that model introduced are unobtanium in practice, not available anywhere) and a very decent 16" WQXGA (2560x1600) display option. 90Wh battery. No RJ45 E

I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad p1 gen7 to replace my tower. They are $$$ but I have no complaints and would recomend it. You can get good deals on Amazon. I have seen the prices jump 30-40% in 2025. So best to shop around. Thinkpad are perfect but shop for the best price.

I bought and returned a refurbished P1 Gen7 with an Ultra Core (Intel) processor recently. The machine was beautiful and I loved almost everything about it, but there was 1 persistent issue that made me return it - a display flicker that worsened when the iGPU was under stress - like when having mul

sorry, missed the 14" oled touchscreen requirement, its a pretty big hangup. Not a large market for these at the moment. https://www.lenovo.com/buy/us/en/oled-touchscreen-laptops-0sdz00a --- https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/laptops/lenovo/lenovo_slim_series/lenovo-slim-7i-gen-10-aura-edition-14-inch-int

I have p1 gen7. It's definitely not silent even without gaming. And I'm super frustrated that Lenovo docker station 4 doesn't recognize Lenovo monitor after hibernate so I have to disconnected and connected doc station every time. Tried everything including installing the newest drivers for everythi

"The thinkpad P1 and T1g seem to fall in that ballpark, but I haven't heard much about these machines used in the same breath as "creative workstations."" newest is P1 / T1p Gen8 , but I not touch it and not see any reviews. In spec's Gen8 is Gen7 + core ultra 2xx instead of core ultra 1xx + new dGP
