It's an E14 G5 (yes I know E series is like lowest tier ThinkPad but it works for me)

Doesn’t look like that’s been the case with the last few E type machines (they’re actually part metal, not all plastic like the prior Edge lineup..) https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-E14-G5-AMD-review-Affordable-office-laptop-with-better-display.742234.0.html

Look on eBay in the UK. Double check the fitted display of any older ThinkPad though, several have a very poor 1366x768 TN display which is well worth avoiding. On a brief search I found a UK refurb dealer, Newandusedlaptops4u with three models worth a look. All 1080p IPS displays, all listed as ver

From Gen 5 forward, you get - 16:10 display, and noticeably improved build quality. AMD models are particularly powerful, but even G5 uses Intel 13th Gen chipsets, with capable Iris Xe Graphics when run with dual channel RAM. G5 8GB + 1 open RAM slot (40GB max), G6/G7 2 open RAM slots (64GB max). Al

No. Beyond invalidating the warranty, the cost involved would be better spent on a larger external monitor that could match/outmatch the optional 2560 x 1600 120Hz panel. While ThinkPad 45% NTSC displays are not color accurate, they're still more than usable, just not where color accuracy is require

T14s all-metal build, thin and light, fixed DDR4x-4266 16GB RAM, single NVMe drive, decent Intel chipset, but outmatched by equivalent AMD. 2 years older than L14 G4. L14, plastic/metal build, DDR4-3200 RAM will upgrade to 64GB, more powerful AMD chipset, stronger graphics than Intel 11th Gen, suppo

By not including a T14 G1 AMD, you trade weight and 16:10 display for a much weaker chipset in the E14 G5. Ryzen 3 7330U is a refresh of an older 4C 8 Thread Ryzen 3 5300U. A T14 G1 Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U (8C 16T), is night and day more capable than that Ryzen 3. While the Ryzen 5 Pro 5650U, in the HP X3

E14 G5:The Ryzen 5 7530U is the newest and strongest chip here, so it'll feel snappier in everyday use and hold up better over time. 16GB RAM + 512GB storage is the best out-of-the-box setup of the three. Should be easier to resell down the line since it's newer and better specced. T14 G3: The i5-12

If your primary concern is minimal loss, the much cheaper L14 G2, trades a poor display, and cheaper build than the other two, for similar performance to the E14 G5. All three stock displays are 45% NTSC with weak color coverage, red looks orange. L14 16:9 250 nit display, dimmer than 300 nit, and t
