Lenovo slim all the way and its not even close. M2 is going to get end of support in around 2years.

it is super easy to give a try. boot from the USB and play around with it without installing. I have settled on Fedora Linux, Ubuntu was also good. most of the time you won't even need a terminal to have everything setup and running. for Nvidia drivers will need to run some terminal commands though

I am using lenovo slim 5 , no issues related to software or battery , but if you are planning to buy lenovo you have to be careful with hinges , as there is issue of hinge in lenovo laptops , i repaired my laptop hinge 2 times in 4 year, else performance wise no issues.

Honestly I’d look at the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14. It’s one of the few gaming laptops that’s still pretty portable and doesn’t get insanely loud during normal use. Battery life is also better than most gaming laptops, so it’s actually usable for college. Another good option is the Lenovo Legion Slim 5.
