Bluetooth dongle worked flawlesly
Yes. It's actually a necessity on new Lenovo laptops- because Lenovo Legion Pro 5, equipped with a Mediatek MT7921 Wi-Fi card and running Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) on kernel version 6.1.0-40-amd64, cannot initialize its Wi-Fi under any major Linux distribution as of November 2025, despite lat

Lenovo legion 5 with at minimum an Ultra 7 or Ryzen 7 and RTX4060 to hit those numbers… though you want 32GB of ram and a second nvme drive to store the game (s)… mine came to about $1700 all in. But I have the slim pro 5 with 4070

Discussion Thread
I am debating on whether my next gaming laptop should be Asus Rog Strix or Lenovo Legion Pro. Found two models on Amazon, both with near identical specs, but Lenovo is like $500 cheaper... then again I see people online Lenovo comes with malware/spyware? Is that true or is the internet spreading mis

Are framework laptops a nice gaming option?
There’s no sale for Framework, and even if there were, the price would still be higher than other laptops with similar specs. For what you're looking for, you’ll get much better value from the Legion Pro 7. The Legion’s build quality and performance are on a completely different level, and with the

What laptop do you guys use to run wuwa?
If your budget is about $1500 you can probably manage a Legion 5/5i with a 5060M and 32GB of RAM with at least the 1600p 165Hz screen. That'd be my default suggestion to you and likely your best choice. Legion 5 will have better battery life with the Ryzen 7 260 or 350, but the Legion 5i will be bet

help me choose a laptop
Tbh you don't need either a mac or a good gaming laptop at all , visual communication mostly never requires any high end specs for a laptop , you could still go with mac as it's highly portable , but it doesn't offer enough for how much it costs I'd suggest look into the "Thin & Light" laptops categ

Anyone have this? Might buy
I have last year's Legion 5 Pro with RTX 4060 and i5-13500HX and I use it as my primary device to run Assetto Corsa. This laptop seems great not only for playing but also modding Assetto Corsa. Moreover, that price is a good deal.

Z1 Extreme owner considering the Ally X specifically for eGPU use. Thoughts?
So I own an eGPU, an XGMobile 4090, all 3 variants of the ROG Ally, Steam Deck and a 2024 14th Gen Razer Blade 16" with a 4090 and 64GB of RAM. If you can get a 3080XGMobile for cheap(less than $700) or a 4090 for less than $1,100 that wouldn't be a terrible investment for the current ROG Ally. I wi

Hesitant to build a powerful PC due to uncertain future
Higher end laptops are definitely capable. For example, I have a Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 with a 5080 and 275HX. Very expensive, bought for $2700 in August. It sits just a bit under my 9070 XT 7800X3D desktop in most games. In games with heavy ray tracing, it typically matches or pulls ahead by a
